Verified Purchase(What is this?)
This review is from: Love, Lies & Murder: They Were the Perfect Couple... Then He Killed Her (Kindle Edition)
This story promised a great deal, with its many twists and turns, and indeed the author for the first part of the book related it very well. However this all ended with the verbatim transcrips of depositions and telephone calls that take up about a third of this book without adding anything to the narrative.
As previous reviewers have said , these long winded trancripts could have been dealt with in a couple of paragraphs. It is as if the author needed to pad out the book or was too lazy to write his own synopsis. These trancipts are written in the vernacular with lots of Uh Uh, er, throughout which makes it very difficult and tedious to read. I found myself skipping pages and wishing I could get to the end of the chapter. Just when I thought the verbatim deposition chapter was over the next chapter started with a paragrph from the author then it was back to the deposition again. This happened with the trancripts of the phone calls as well.
This is a thoroughly dreadful book and I would not recommend it.
