5.0 out of 5 stars The freedom of the open road
We brought this bike seat for our daughter and we all love it. She is able to ride up front and see where she is going and we can see her and know she is safe and happy. It is very sturdy and feels very secure on the bike. It is fitted to her Dads bike and he says that it doesnt make him off balance at all (as I have heard some rear seats can). I have recommend it to...

3.0 out of 5 stars Sore legs
I'm not too sure what to make of this chair yet. I have used it about 10 times with my 16 month old over the summer, he likes it, but not on days where its breezy as he does not like the wind directly in his face. I am a fit cyclist and find that having to have my legs slightly open is using a whole lot of different muscles - and it hurts! When I looked at the reviews...

It is very sturdy and feels very secure on the bike. It is fitted to her Dads bike and he says that it doesnt make him off balance at all (as I have heard some rear seats can). I have recommend it to a friend who is also thrilled with it, they have purchased an extra bike attachment so that they can change the seat from bike to bike very easily (think we may purchase another so that we can also do this). An excellent, fun and safe purchase.

5.0 out of 5 stars GREAT SEAT, VERY HAPPY, 18 Jun 2011
I have a 12month little girl and 4 year old son and was looking for a way to get them both about my local village.
I thought about a trailer, but then saw someone using one of these Weeride seats and thought that had to be the best solution.
After ringing the company, and getting some advice on how to transport my two kids, I ended up with a Weeride seat and a tagalong bike.
The tagalong is good, but not great. You cant really talk to your child on the tagalong.
But until they come up with something hat holds 2 kids upfront, there is no other solution.
Maybe a double Weeride!!!
I went for the deluxe model as my little girl is pretty small and I was glad I did as she is so snug in the seat.
We have great fun pointing things out and I just feel more comfortabel with her where I can see her. And with the 5 point strap I know she isnt going anywhere.
The seat was easy to fit amd I didnt find the riding difficult.
I was worried about having to ride with very wide legs, but it is a minimal change and perfectly comfortable.
Happy 12 month old, happy 4 year old, so happy dad.

5.0 out of 5 stars SIMPLE, SAFE AND FUN, 6 Jun 2011
I wanted a front seat as it didnt seem fair for my little girl to just look at my back. I also wanted to talk to her, and be able to help her if she had any problems, or was worried.
I went for the Weeride after reading lots of reviews by customers and experts, all of which seemed to give it the thumbs up.
It was a little fiddly to fix, but still all done and dusted in under 20 mins, so no major complaint.
The first thing I noticed was how sturdy it all felt with the solid bar and well made seat.
I went for the Deluxe model as my daughter is only 9 months old and I wanted to give her as much support as possible. The seat is certainly very plush.
Even with that comfort she still cried when i first put her in. I think straping my little one into anything would bring on the waterworks. But they stopped as soon as we got moving, and she was soon in fits of giggles.
We had such a laugh and I felt she was completely safe with my arms wrapped around her.
The only issue I found was that every time we stopped we would have another person asking us about the seat!
One other small point, is that at 5ft 2 and using a small bike, the seat was close to me. It meant I had to ride with my knees out a little.
But not a big deal for me, especially when I consider the fun we get from the seat.
Big thumbs up!

This review is from: WeeRide Front Mounted Deluxe Child Safest Childseat,  Ages 1-4 (Sports)
When I looked at the reviews before buying I did not notice this mentioned, so thought it was worth me noting it. If I had my time again I would go for a traditional behind the rider one, this would save all the wind in my sons face too.

3.0 out of 5 stars Good buy for baby but had issues with it., 11 Oct 2011
Bought it abd was excited for it to arrive. Once I got it and opened it I realised thet the 5 point safety harness with oversized safety buckle (as on the picture) wasn't the same on the acctual seat instead it was just plain black plastic.
The second issue I had was that the bolt at the front mounting bracket was stuck and wouldn't come off (which it should)All the bolts and screws should be seperate. Also the round screw tht goes throught the headrest and the seat and screws to the mount bar is too short as once nearly came off. Be aware of that.
I had to return it and get replacement. Once I got the second one and installed my baby seems to like it, but being now 10 months she is trying to stand up in the seat and take her feet out of the footrests, also trying to grab the handlebars.

Overall good but way too expensive for a padded plactic seat and a mounting bar.

4.0 out of 5 stars very good for babies, 21 Aug 2011
I bought this seat for my 13 months old son and he loved it! we spent our summer at my parents' house who live in a small town so bicyscle is an ideal way for our everyday rides to the beach, to the market, to the playground. my baby sits comfortable on it and he slept a couple of times on it quite easily. it's not hard to assemple and it's quite sturdy.
i feel quite secure having my baby between my arms and he enjoys watching around. I'm not sure though whether he will fit in next year that he will be 2 although he's thin (8,5 kgr). the seat is supposed to be suitable for up to 40lbs but thw seat area is narrow and the foot guards are short too, so i doubt if an older child can fit in. I certainly recomend it for small babies.

1.0 out of 5 stars unrideable, 9 Aug 2010
high quality product. However totally unusable as i cannot pedal without hitting my knees on the footwells. Land up pedalling with legs going sideways. Good idea that needs a large frame bicycle with a small person.
