Anyone who has heard "Ideas of Happiness" and enjoyed it and would like to hear where they came from, you would do well to listen to this album. It shows the bands ideas and elements in raw form.
Their blend of instruments and electronics is raw too, not so much a fusion, even contrasting in places, but carried off with youthful energy it shows promising versatility. You get a feel of a band reaching out branches to find its sound.
No groundbreaking, just straight up indie/synth/pop put together to a standard that sets them apart from similar bands by way of a good few highly listenable stand-out tracks. Other tracks needed a few listens to get into but these tend to be the tracks that sound more experimental. The mixing is also very raw, but the content in the album makes up for this. Very enjoying easy listening.
