This movie will probably go straight to dvd in the UK although the trailers suggest it was shown in cinemas in the US so I didn't expect much but I was pleasantly surprised. The opening scene between Fred Ward as the military police sergeant and Julie Mond as the deserter he is chasing has such chemistry that you can't help but guess there'll be more later but not as much as I would have liked, in fact Fred Ward is a little underused in my opinion. The story is simple, a group of travellers in a coach on Christmas Eve have a collision with and kill a member of a homicidal biker gang. The gang pursue them to an old scrapyard where the passengers have to overcome their differences to band together and fight to survive. I liked the fact that every passenger however small a part they played had a back story, the longer they survived, the more of it that you got. I also liked the fact that they had to overcome their moral disgust at violence in order to survive, one character even apologises to the biker she killed. It makes a big difference to the mindless incessant violence of films like 'Punisher: War Zone'. Replace the coach with a wagon train and the bikers with native americans (pc eh?) and the story is straight out of the wild west but it travels well. The movie is presented in full screen so no black bars but my copy was a little haevy on the reds, the flames of the fires were almost fluorescent. Good well directed sound track. Give it a go.

4.0 out of 5 stars Captivating for a part., 17 Aug. 2010
Although, this whole movie,is based on events, that,I not easily can imagine, why a group of Motor Bikers would suddenly attack a bus,I don't know, but let's forget, that part, the most interesting thing,in this whole movie are the characters,of two people,Merideth Cole played by Julie Mond
and Annabel Drake played by Alice Greczyn, the last one tries to desert from her liabilities as a Army officer, that's why sergeant Archie Sparks {Fred Ward] is at her back,to strike her for another job.
Those two are making in my eyes, the whole movie,Julie Mond, who is a professional Archer, but has off course never ever shoot down other people,so it is great to see,all the struggle for finally coming that far,and Alice Greczyn,is at her best as the person who has the best fighting experiences, but just, never shows it,the best part is at the end,you must see, that for yourself, the worst and irritating parts are those group of stupid Bikers, who seem to do nothing then showing how could they can "handle" there Motor Bikes!
In a quick overview, the whole movie starts thrilling, but died down for a time and comes alive again in the last half or so,that's why I think, five stars is not right.
