If you're looking for a step back in time to those great tunes from TFOS this is the cd for you it's got most of the main memorable ones plus a few pleasant surprises. But there are some great tunes missing that I'll have to track down and buy the relevant album. You won't be disappointed - just don't get out you're hairbrush!

4.0 out of 5 stars The Flock Have Flown With Their Best Collection Yet!, 24 Jan. 2010

Everyone bangs on about The Cure (rubbish, unbelivable how anyone could like such naff crapsters!) and the grand but easily appreciated New Order and Depeche Mode but the best decade of music-the 80s-had many bands that quietly did their own stuff as easily as good as the peers but never get the appreciation. These guys were some of those guys too!

The UK compilations were never much good, collecting as they did, hardly any tracks but his one steps up to the mantle. Not only are the ultra-obvious 'Wishing' and the electrifying 'I Ran (So Far Away') on here, but so are the secondary division well-knowners-'Space Age Love Song', 'The More You Live, The More You Love' and two early singles from the EP often left out. Most importantly, this seems to be the only collection to collect rare single 'Remember David' and 'Heartbeat Like A Drum'. It's not a full list-the 3 90s singles are omitted, as is one of their finest-'Never Again (The Dancer), but also it lacks their weakest, the rather embarrassingly unhip 'Who's That Girl (She's Got It)'-if they can leave off 'Never Again'-and they have, we certainly don't need this one.

The album pack lists on the back what album the singles come from and their running time. But dumbly it also lists a song that isn't a single at all-though it says beside it single. I've looked up several discographies and nowhere is the track 'Lost Control'-not even as an album cut! Weird. Also the packaging is hateful!

They may think they're being environmentally sound at Sony BMG but this recyclable paperboard CD holder is a joke-you risk scratching the CD to get it out and then back in is even harder-I've had to bend the paperboard already-and now I keep my old Seagulls CD in there and the new one in the older box-at least it's safe from scratches! If they're so worried about the environment, maybe they should stop flying execs all around the world, drinking in Starbucks, eating in McDonalds and so on. But screwing up my cds is not my idea of harmonious living-be warned people.

There's also some liner notes that can be inserted into your pc-I haven't found them yet but I'm sure they're there. But, annoyances aside, this is the most comprehesive 'Gulls CD ever!
