I have tried various unknown brands of so called "Super Glue" and they have been anything but. Each time they either fail to hold or the hold does not last or the glue dries out in a short time.

I needed the gel because if I had used a liquid, it would have run down the item and made a mess. Got to say this is fantastic stuff. The gel means that it can be used even on items against a wall and no runs. The ultra bond makes it very strong. Just used it to fix a pull down shade on the door, which had a large tension on. Put the glue to precisely where I wanted it, stuck the two pieces together than held down with blu tac for half hour to ensure a good bond. Removed blu tac and the bond is strong. There is a lot of tension on the fix so that the blind does not come down and it is holding perfectly.

I will never use another super glue not made by Loctite again. Full marks.

It definitly did the job. The problem is I didn't buy the solvent they recommend to clean the hole of the bottle after you use it and I don't think I will be able to use it again, as the glue sealed the hole and nothing will come out. But I used it to repair the handle of the vacuum cleaner and I can lift it and it didn't break again.
After this, I used again cutting a bit the top of the bottle and it didn't seal again ..so far. But if it does, I will cut it again. Anything to save me buying the solvent!

I was impressed at the packaging and the side panels you press to dispense the glue. The glue does work however even with cleaning the it still clogged after only one use.
Product does work but expensive for just one use.

Does the job we need it to do. We use it in an industrial application
and have never had a failure yet.

I've just replaced the first pack having used all the glue.

I don't ever remember doing that before because with the usual tube, the nozzle clogs up with dried glue and then the glue is 'stuck' inside. Mutilating the nozzle restores service for a while but eventually half of the glue goes in the bin with the bent and battered tube.

This Ultra Control Pack is fabulous. Dispense just the amount you want. I dob it an a piece of plastic and then apply it with a cocktail stick. The bottle expelled it's last drop last week. Easy to use and worth the extra few pennies.

The clips for my stereo fascia on my Ford KA had broken, so I decided to use some superglue to prevent it from hanging out (and making my expensive bluetooth stereo look incredibly easy to pinch). Worked a treat - had to use a fair bit but it's tightly in place now and doesn't rattle or anything.

Good buy & much cheaper than in the shops.

Just a shout to all marine aquarists out there - if you're in to fragging invertebrates, this stuff does a great job.

Despite what you may read on the net, fragging is not difficult. Success depends more on water quality than on fragging technique because everything from coral to xenia, zoanthids and polyps *want* to live and will forgive just about anything if you give them the opportunity to do just that.

This gel works well on everything from wet coral and rockwork to which the inverts may be attached to the bodies of the inverts themselves. I cut an arm of xenia, put a few drops of this glue directly on the wound, smooshed it to the back of a nano tank and it worked perfectly, even immersed in warm sea water. Said xenia has since exploded in to new growth and produced even more arms. The same goes for all sorts of polyps - using Loctite it's possible to reduce a frag to lots of small clusters, glue them at intervals to bigger pieces of rock (or the back wall of the tank) and allow them to spread. All this while wet or completely underwater. It sets really quickly too - scary fast.

The downside?

The bottle is absoutley stupid!

You're supposed to twist the cap with a removable lid type thingy, then squeeze the glue out by nipping panel type wotsits on either side of the bottle. And getting it to work takes a month of Sundays. Really; they've over-complicated things by several orders of magnitude. This to the extent that I'm currently testing other makes of superglue gel in simpler containers.

There again, it may have something to do with the fact that I have hands like bunches of bananas and lack the dexterity required to use the contraption - it's entirely possible that people with more dexterity would get along with the bottle like a house on fire. Who knows?

So, Loctite 3g ultra control gel - really, REALLY good stuff for marine fraggers in a really, REALLY dopey bottle.

I have bought this product many times. Unlike many glues of this type it is completely controlable and it doesn't set solid between uses; no fiddling with pins to clear the nozzle. I mainly use it for sticking plastic to plastic which it does very well. It has also been used to mend shoes!Product arrived very quickly.
