4.0 out of 5 stars Annoying little minx, 3 April 2009
This review is from: The Best Of Sheena Easton (UK Release) (Audio CD)
There are so many reasons to dislike Sheena Easton...Esther Rantzen, Prince, Kenny Rogers, Esther Rantzen ...but as a devotee of the "even Cliff Richard is not beyond redemption" school, have to be fair and say that there is some corking music here. She clearly knows how to deliver a tune. Listen to "You light up my life" - an enormous stateside hit for Debbie Boone but transformed into a very decent song here.

Other absolute gems here are "when he shines" "One man woman" and "You could have been with me"

In an ideal world, this 262nd version of "wind beneath my wings" would be replaced by the Bond theme "For your eyes only" but there is more than enough here to justify the purchase. I would bracket Sheena Easton with the likes of Kim Wilde - artists that when going back to the music after a few years gap, you find that absence really has made the heart grow fonder and it's actually not bad.... So come on everybody "my baby takes the morning train..."
