While I'll admit the plot and acting are a bit of nonsense it's an easy enough film to watch and another for the dance film collection. I own this DVD and was going to get rid of it after the first watch but when I watched it again I realised the dancing is GOOD, sharp and original. However, this is another dance film based around stomping, which i love, but if all your into is hip hop choreo movies such as you got served and step up then don't buy it.

I thought this was a very fine film that had both emotional and psychological depth while attending to the tropes we expect from a "dance movie." It is subtle, moving and the dancing is fantastic. It is also beautifully filmed. I highly recommend How She Move and trust that even those who don't care much for dance will find something enlightening to take away with them. Maybe they'll even be converted!

I have no idea why I brought this - not trying to give it a bad name - It just really was not for me. I could not get into the story, to be honest I got confused. One day I will sit down and try and watch it again.

Really refreshing dance movie. Not like the stereo typical ones we keep getting churned out. Great dancing, and I like the story coming from the angle of Jamaican immigrants to Canada... how often you gonna see a story from this angle. Good acting, especially from the two leading girls.

I'm not going to spend too much time writing a review for this film because it really doesn't deserve my time or effort. There is no redeeming feature in this fim - the story is completely uninspired (girl wants to make money to return to private school so decides to join a street-dancing gang) the acting bog-standard and unconvincing, the script a joke and the actual dancing - what I really wanted to see this film for - was utter rubbish. You aren't even pleased when the girl gets the boy because you don't care about either character or even want them to get togther. Theres just nothing more I can say - avoid like the plague. Utter rubbish, waste of my life, and this is from someone who loves dance film. Urgh!
