I've had this epilator for 3 and a half years. I've never owned another epilator but after using this one I am a convert. For the first 2 years I stopped shaving altogether. Since then I've kept up epilating my underarms and do my legs occasionally - the main reason is the time it takes to do my legs (15 - 20 minutes per leg). It's easy to do, the device itself is compact and ergonomic and comes in a handy travel pouch so it's easy to take on holidays. The smart light is also a useful feature. I did use the ice pack when I first started, but it was more trouble than it was worth.

The first time I did my underarms was agony, I won't lie, but after then it's been pretty bearable - partly because I think you develop a tollerance and partly because not all hairs grow at the same speed, so you're not removing all hairs every time. Now it doesn't bother me at all - it's definitely preferable to doing my legs!

The main thing that disappointed me with epilating was the speed that the hairs grow back - with legs it's slower, but I get 3-4 days on my underarm before I wouldn't want to leave them uncovered! If you're doing it that frequently though, the task is a quick one!
