5.0 out of 5 stars Historically pleasing
Wilson and Frost make a good duo......Sir Harold was obviously very learned and knew his subjects well...he also has the unusual advantage of having been PM himself for a considerable time and so knew the pressures and problems of the office. Great viewing for history buffs.

3.0 out of 5 stars Informative
Good informative book that does what it states in the title. Not much more you can say about it really.

4.0 out of 5 stars Fascinating Programme, 4 Aug. 2013

The PMs covered are Harold Macmillan, Pitt the Younger, Robert Peel, Palmerston, Disraeli, Gladstone, David Lloyd George, Stanley Baldwin, Ramsay MacDonald, Neville Chamberlain, Winston Churchill and Clement Attlee. Some excellent insights, especially when David Frost occasionally asks Harold Wilson what he would have done about some of the issues the others faced.
Good locations for the interviews too, where they usually pick a house or office with close connections to the subject. So, for Pitt it is Walmer Castler (he was Lord Warden of the Cinque Ports), Robert Peel Tamworth Town Hall, Gladstone Hawarden Castle, Baldwin Chequers, Atlee Transport House etc.
I hadn't seen those programmes for over 30 years. Really glad I found the DVD.

A touching impression of SIR Harold Wilson's take on his own career and that of the most prominent prime ministers in Britians gloriuos past. The programme do'es lack detail, but a good overview of their careers. The only problem with this programme is it is'nt long enough. Brilliant DVD. Buy it NOW!
