I've had my Sebo x4 pet for about a month now, and it is a delight to use. I thought about buying one 3 yrs ago but was put off by the fact it used bags and at that time bought a bagless vacuum which was less than a hundred pounds and has been nothing but trouble and always blocking and over heating and getting me filthy every time I emptied the dust container (which was every time I used it). I needn't have worried, the dirt is compacted in the bag and I haven't yet had to empty it. We have dogs and horses and the Sebo takes all the hair, dust and dirt in it's stride. My only regret is not buying one years ago.It also cleans right up to the edge, really! Drops low enough to get under my bed, and feels as if it's self powered as it takes you round the house, not the other way around. It is so good I can do the downstairs in 5 minutes every morning, I highly recommend it.

Well, in the thirty plus years that I have been hoovering I've tried most brands and styles. Sometimes I've bought cheap and sometimes I've bought expensive. The one thing I always found was an overall sense of disappointment with my choice each time. Either cleaning it, using it, lugging it up the stairs, gadgets not well designed etc etc. When I bought a Dyson a few years ago for what seemed to me a small fortune I was convinced that this time would be the one. Actually, like many other people, I rapidly felt deflated. The design did not seem good, the quality seemed cheap and overall when it finally broke five years later I was quite relieved that I could justify getting a new hoover. That time I went back to cheap and guess what - I hated it!
So this time I did research online. I watched videos on Youtube, read reviews on Amazon and finally plumped for the Sebo. Oh my god, even putting it together from the box was exciting. I love it I love it I love it. It purrs around the house. With no drama at all it cleans up my golden retrievers hairs from everywhere. It smoothly changes from my carpets to my oak floors. The turbo attachment brings my settee up like new. Its lightweight, its beautifully made. After 3 weeks hoovering every day in my big old house I have still not had to change the bag. I simply cannot fault it. Me and this hoover are together for life.

We had looked at all of the major vacuum cleaners but were convinced by a woman in Currys who said she had suffered major faults with various cleaners. She praised Sebo for quality and reliability.
When you assemble the Sebo, it just clicks together for assembly. It feels well made and solid without feeling overdone, i.e. no fancy bits sticking out which catch and break.
My wife was concerned by the apparently lower powered motor and hoped it would pick up ok. She is impressed that it cleans to the edges and suction is better than expected.
A quality product.

Having tried and tested many a Pet hoover over the past few years, I was beginning to get rather tired of buying yet another upright if only to return it within the first 28 days because it couldn't cope with the rather large amount of fur lost each day by my 2 Golden Retrievers. We have a Miele TT5000 Cylinder vacuum cleaner, however I find these pretty useless on carpet, and I must say I like the luxury of having a cylinder downstairs (tiles and laminate), and an upright upstairs (carpet).

I received the hoover today, and I am most impressed by it's quality already. My father recommended we go for SEBO as it's the best hoover he's ever had, and I must say, he's not wrong. Within less than an hour, my house was hoovered from top to bottom - it's a joy to manoeuvre and is particularly good at picking up fur and dust around the edge of the rooms. A jolly good purchase, and hopefully we won't have to use the 5 year guarantee provided by SEBO themselves - they're obviously confident that their product is a winner.

As the title says this vaccuum cleaner beats the Dyson hands down. I have had 4 or 5 Dysons over the years believing them to be the best on the market but this Sebo is much more effective, particularly when it comes to pet hairs. It's also a lot less hassle when it comes to getting rid of the bag - no more getting covered in dust when you empty it!

Brought this vacuum cleaner about 3 months ago and only have two words to say, ABSOLUTELY BRILLIANT!!!!

Having been initially impressed with Dyson, i suffered years of frustration and faults.Whilst having it serviced/ repaired for the third time i overheard the brown coated technician saying he would only ever recommend a Sebo to a potential customer.Two years later and after much cussing, i bit the bullet and invested in this machine. What joy! Unrivalled suction,simplicity itself and devoid of gizmos to attract the unwary purchaser. A wonderful machine that just does what it should-cleans reliably. Top drawer!

Just had to leave a review for the Sebo Hoover. I have owned two of these hoovers, the first one lasting me nearly 14 years. The second one I have had for three years. All I can say is that I have been delighted with Sebo Hoovers. We have dogs and horses and it copes well with all hair and dust. The added attraction is the hose that just pulls out from the side. In the past I have had other hoovers and also one of those dreadful bagless ones. Yes they are probably more expensive than your ordinary hoover, but this is no ordinary hoover as far as I am concerned. Mine is in daily use with the help of two yellow labradors. A great product that does the job it was designed to do.

Firstly I must say I am the kind of person who will spend weeks (sometimes more!) researching an item before I decide to buy. I like to know I have made an informed decision based on un-biased customer reviews. After initially being quite overwhelmed by the choices Sebo offer I decided on the X4 Pet (this machine is actually 1300W not 1200W as stated on the listing) It is my understanding that the only differences between the X4 Pet and the X4 Extra to be the colour (this one is black and the Extra is blue) and the X4 Pet comes complete with an odour reducing charcoal filter (RRP £19.96) along with a stairs and upholstery turbo brush (RRP £34.94) I didn't actually purchase my machine through Amazon, I did find an online retailer selling it for £225.00 with free courier delivery! My initial reaction when unpacking the vacuum is it is very neat and compact and all pieces fit together easily only needing a screwdriver to secure the attachment clamp to the handle for the dusting brush. The machine comes complete with a charcoal filter, exhaust filter, two bags, a crevice tool, basic upholstery tool, dusting brush, upholstery turbo brush and an extension hose. The vacuum is not too heavy and is easy manoeuvre which makes it a dream to use. After vacuuming my living room carpet I was horrified to see the bag was almost a quarter full! I was absolutely amazed (and somewhat appalled!) at how much the Sebo had picked up! I love the automatic head adjustment as it means you constantly have the most effective cleaning for whichever surface you are vacuuming. The onboard hose is a little on the short side but it is more than adequate for cleaning skirting boards etc (I simply keep one hand on the machine to ensure it doesn't topple over) however the extension hose really makes cleaning the stairs a breeze! Even my old Bosch cylinder cleaner wasn't able to reach all the way to the top without having to relocate the machine. The turbo brush is very effective and picking up pet hair (I have two ginger indoor cats) so all in all this machine is perfect. The hospital grade S-Class filtration is great news for my Asthma too! I have invested in the Kombi head (RRP £34.96) bought direct from Sebo and this will be perfect for my longer pile rugs. I am also looking forward to trying the Sebo Duo-P carpet cleaning powder which has been developed to deep cleaning your carpets and the X4 Pet is designed to compliment the Duo-P product as you can actually detach the hose from the machine using it to work the powder into the carpet! To summarise if you are looking to invest in a new vacuum cleaner then look no further than Sebo. This machine is the best I have owned and I know it will last me for many years to come. I can't understand why anyone would give this anything less than 5 stars. This machine represents excellent value when compared to other vacuum cleaners on the market and even if you don't have pets I would recommend it over the X4 Extra purely based on the number of extras you get! Certainly an investment but one well worth making.

We have recently purchased a Sebo x4 Pet after our Henry (of 12 years) blew up. We looked at all sorts but were assurred this was the one to go for. It took a bit of getting used to with an upright but wow has it got some power! It takes 2 of us to clean the mats as it sucks them up otherwise! The upholstry tool is excellent too. It is quite heavy, after a Henry, but I think we are getting used to it now and realise that Henry was probably quite poorly before he blew up! The manufacturer also gives you a good guarantee which I feel is worth quite a lot.

We have used it to clean curtains and cars, as well as the house and nothing seems to phase it and it appears to have a tool to meet all requirements.
