We used to have so many of these songs on 45's and L.P.s.....what happened to them? Who pinched 'em? No matter this CD gives great reproduction and just about every great track G & the P's ever did is on it. Probably one of their best, 'Shot of Rhythm and Blues' isn't but for anyone who wants to hear great '60's tracks this is the one.
I used to listen to these songs constantly and WHY DOES 'I like it' always remind me of Algebra homework so much??????Maybe 'cause I listened to Gerry and liked it while I did the homework which I despised so much.
Wanna relive the early '60's Mersey beat...buy this blinkin' CD..............

If you have never bought a gerry and the pacemakers this has all you need to get you into there best tunes , I bought this as a gift for my parents as we saw gerry marsden a few months back and although my folks love his music they were surprised they had not got one cd of there's only compilations with the songs on . I love 'don't let the sun catch you crying ' and 'walk hand in hand with me ' my dad found he had kidney cancer just before we saw gerry so these songs being very emotional and will always remind us of how raw we felt , we picked him up after his op had been done we played these songs on his return journey home , he's doing fine now ... But those songs will be a constant memory of a bad and also elated relief memory :)

For the price, it's a good CD and I like Gerry Marsdens voice. Some of the songs sound a bit dated but the main songs for me (apart from the obvious pop candyfloss tracks 'I like it' and 'How do you do' ) which have stood the test of time are 'Don't let the sun catch you crying', 'Ferry cross the Mersey' and his tour de force 'You'll never walk alone'. Transported me back to the swinging sixties with a smile on my face.

I am a child of the sixties and this CD brought it all back! In fact this disc sounded better than what I used to listen to by Gerry in the sixties. Maybe it's just nostalgia who knows. If you remember the groups of the sixties (far better than anything available nowdays) then buy this for your collection - his voice is unique!

Topping up the cd collection with lesser faves from the sixties, Gerry and co were almost the last choice, but this is a good album, with well remembered tracks and some a little different. Altogether a worthwhile addition to the baby boomers collection.

....I like it! I like it! A definite collectors item for those who enjoy the Mersey sound and the hits of the 60's. I actually hadn't realised how prolific their list of songs was - an interesting mix.

Bought this for my sister who joined the Gerry & Pacemaker fan club in the early sixties. She really liked listening to all the old hits again and was very pleased to have it in her collection of CD's.

This cd takes me way back to when I first heard it as a teenager and used to sing along to most of the tracks. Some of the tracks I had forgotten so it was really lovely to hear them again. Excellent value for money.
