Following on from his own three mix-albums ('Music to Watch Girls Cry', 'Songs in the Key of Death' and 'One Nation Under A Grave') and the hairy funk of 'Vertigo Mixed', Finders Keepers' crate digger Andy Votel has been commissioned by Far Out Recordings for this Brazilian mix-album. Comprising of tracks from Brazil's Som Livre and RGE labels, Votel has dug deep inside the crates and found some rare 60's & 70's Tropicália, psychedelia, acid & fuzzy funk and mixed it together in is own inimitable style.

this is quite an unusual mix if you can only relate to brazilian music through bossa nova or samba. having said that it's fun and weird all at the same time. there are even 2 tracks from the vila sesamo, that's the brazilian version of sesame street! now i'm on the lookout for more stuff from some of the bands featured like novos baianos and os brazoes. good stuff!
