Just got myself a new Sony Bravia 46" and was looking for a stand to put it on when I seen this one on Amazon, it looked just what I wanted, I decided to go for the black leg's instead of the silver ones and paid £60.00 more, when it arrived and unpacked it took about 1 hour to assemble very straight forward to do I was impressed with the overall appearance and glad I paid the extra £60.00 (with my TV being black it matched it to a tee)
Each of the 2 shelves are big enough to take 2 DVD/video's/blue ray players side by side.
Only very small down side is the cable tidier at the back is made of very flimsy plastic and when you put a couple of Scart leads in it tends to pop it out if they rest against it. But this in no way detracts from the overall looks which is excellent.
Also very sturdy construction with the top shelve being 10 m/m thick this held my TV rock solid.
I would definitely recommend this to anybody who is looking for a classy modern looking stand.

5.0 out of 5 stars TOP QUALITY STAND - LOOKS FANTASTIC, 17 Mar 2009
This review is from: Techlink Avatar PTV2 - Designer Glass Stand For LCD & Plasma TV Up To 50" Or 100kg - Black Legs With Black Glass (Accessory)
I purchased this stand for my Sony 40inch lcd tv. It was delivered within a week and came flat packed. Building it took about half an hour and was pretty straight forward. The stand is really sturdy and looks fantastic (top shelf is 10mm thick). The cable tidy at the back of the main leg works ok although the cover is made of fairly flimsy plastic. It easily holds a scart cable, a couple of HDMIs and power cables.

The 2 shelves are wide enough to have Sky HD and PS3 on one shelf and a dvd player and my Wii on the lower shelf. The Wii fits in on it's stand in the upright position (just!).

Overall this stand cost about twice as much as some of the basic ones you can buy on the high street or from Amazon but I'm glad I went for it as it shows off my Sony TV brilliantly and is much better quality than the cheaper alternatives.

4.0 out of 5 stars Worth The Money, 16 Jan 2010
This review is from: Techlink Avatar PTV2 - Designer Glass Stand For LCD & Plasma TV Up To 50" Or 100kg - Black Legs With Black Glass (Accessory)
Needed a stand that would take a 46" screen without overhang and still fit into a corner location. I also wanted something a bit different from those generic 'oblong with a corner cut off' stands in almost every electrical store.
The PTV2 really does look a cut above - the black glass and piano-black legs combined with subtle chrome highlights prefectly compliment my Sony Bravia which has a sliver speaker strip.

Arrived well packaged and took about 30 leisurely minutes to assemble with clear and simple instruction sheet. Only one tool required - and they supply that.
Once assembled it realy is a solid heavy stand with no flex and the extra 2mm thickness of the top shelf inspires confidence when you're about to perch well over a grands worth of TV on it!

Despite the curved back shape to the shelves (to allow corner placement) it will take two pieces of equipment side by side with no problem on each level - I have PS3, Sky HD box, Blu-Ray player, Apple-TV and Surround Amp all happly co-habiting with no overhangs.

The only weak point of this stand - and why I have knocked off a star - is the cable management, which consists of a thin plastic cover that sits in two grooves on the rear leg. It works OK until you get stiffer cables such as the satelite feeds or ariel co-ax which tend to pop the cover off again. In the end I solved it by using self adhesive cable-tie bases to hold the cables to the leg before putting the cover on, but a sturdier cover should have been designed given the high quality of the rest of the stand.

(As a side note there is a circular hole in the glass top into a channel that runs inside the rear leg that looks as though it is part of the cable managment but in actual fact it is for the fitting of a Pole & Bracket TV mounting system that comes with a different varitation of this stand - had me fooled for a few seconds!).

In summary a classy, well made stand that is worth the extra cost over those generic store models - if they sort out the weak cable managment it would be a 5 star product.

5.0 out of 5 stars Great looking stand!, 1 Aug 2009

After looking around for ages for a corner stand that can take a 46" tv, i found this one. Not only does it look a lot better than the others, it has a 10mm top shelf instead of the usual 8mm, and i also like the semi circular styling. It took about an hour to assemble, but would have taken a bit less if the instructions were slightly clearer, and not have me guessing ( the different 'chromed' plastic trim fit in specific places despite being almost identicle). Cable management is flimsy plastic which is completley out of place compared to the quality of the rest of the stand. But i still give it 5 stars for an Awsome looking stand!

Took about 30 mins to put together. Best if two people. Very Sturdy but then heavy to move alone. Still not fully understood the cable management in the rear centre post but will easily take a bulky amp, blueray, dvd and freesat receiver.
Delivery was on time and without damage.

A nice table. Very good - looking. Cable management almost non-existent though. Some problems with missing parts and the manufacturer no help at all. Replacement from amazon did the trick.

I purchased this stand to accommodate a 46- inch Panasonic Plasma ( purchased ptv2 bracket separately for cantilever effect). You open the box, and it looks rather like an Airfix Kit, albeit on a much grander scale. However, once i'd laid out all of the relevant components, and quickly familiarised myself with the Instructions, it was very easy to construct. It took me about 25 mins. It recommends that this is a 2-Man assembly, although i managed it comfortably, and i wouldn't say i was any more than average strength, but i do understand the safety implications by the 2-Man assembly claim.

The only tool you will need, is provided- a Hex Spanner, which is needed right at the end, to fix 4 Bolt Screws to the ends of the Screw Rods. ( These are threaded down inside channels of the Legs, 1 for each of the front, and 2 for the rear support Leg.

The stand is to be constructed upside down, so, you start at the bottom, and then simply turn it over once you've securely fitted the 4 tightening Bolts- just remember to place your 3 Glass shelves shiny side down, and it couldn't be easier.

Once constructed, it feels very tight and secure, and fits nicely into a corner. The reason i'm deducting 1 star, is for the, quite simply, appalling Cable management. It lacks the depth and strength to support Tv/Sky/Dvd Cables, necessitating a D.I.Y Cable Tidy of one's own design. If the Cable tidy was of a sufficient depth to accommodate 4-Gang Extension Plug and cables, then i would happily give this Stand 5 Stars. Some may think this is harsh, but given that this Stand is open-backed, i'd rather not see Cables dangling between the Racks, and on the floor behind.

Took a little while to assemble, but the end result is a quality product, which not only looks the business, but performs well also.
