1.0 out of 5 stars Draper garden rake
First time I used it, after only 5 min of raking head snapped at the bace of the handle, stainless steel rod very thin where it joins the head. I have to give them credit where its due, they refunded my money very promptly without even requesting the return of goods.[[ASIN:B0012XRT58 Draper 44977 Stainless Garden Rake Fsc Ash]

I purchased this rake as an add on to the stainless steel spade and fork I had already purchased and I was not disappointed as the quality was the same. This tool should last me for many years to come and I look forward to useing it over the years to tend my veg garden.

1.0 out of 5 stars 4 hours use then CRACK, 28 May 2013

Like a previous customer, I also experienced very poor manufacturing quality with this rake. After a morning's work preparing topsoil for grass seed, I noticed a large crack starting to form around the weld holding the rake head to the handle. Looks like very sub standard welding.

3.0 out of 5 stars Draper Expert Stainless garden Rake review, 16 Dec. 2012

The handle is first class, however I felt that based on my old Spear and Jackson stainless steel rake the actual head of the rake felt thin and flimsy.

1.0 out of 5 stars Broken, 11 Mar. 2012
This review is from: Draper Expert 44977 Stainless Garden Rake with FSC-Certified Ash Handle (Garden & Outdoors)
The metal rake broke in under 12 months with only relatively minor usage. Whilst it worked, it felt quite comfortable to use. A complete waste of money.

Great product, strong and sturdy. The "teeth" are slightly sharp so cut through the weeds and topsoil with ease. Good quality construction.

3.0 out of 5 stars Draper Expert 44977 Stainless Garden Rake with FSC-Certified Ash Handle, 17 Aug. 2011
This review is from: Draper Expert 44977 Stainless Garden Rake with FSC-Certified Ash Handle (Garden & Outdoors)
Good enough rake for the price! Let down by the fastening of the shaft to the head. the shaft is held on by a stainless pin rivet which means the head feels loose and could get worse through time.
Maybe mine is an exception. Make up your own mind.
