5.0 out of 5 stars Excellent excellent excellent; truly beautiful
I totally agree with the other two reviewers here. This is an exquisite little gem. If you can get hold of a copy, don't pass on the chance whatever you do - snap it up immediately. This EP seems to be extremely difficult to get hold of now.

It will inevitably attract shoe-gaze, nu-gaze, bla bla bla, comparisons, but all such pigeonholeing is irrelevant. Yes, I...

It will inevitably attract shoe-gaze, nu-gaze, bla bla bla, comparisons, but all such pigeonholeing is irrelevant. Yes, I can hear Sigur Ros, Maps, etc, in the sound here, as well as the original genre-defining bands of the 1990s, but Kyte also bring to mind Plans-era Deathcab for Cutie. Most importantly, the songs have real soul and depth. This is a remarkably mature, achingly beautiful debut. Trust me, you will love it.

4.0 out of 5 stars Perfect to chill to, 12 July 2008

Saw Kyte support iLiKETRAiNS and immediately bought the album at the gig. Fine band, doing their own thing, good luck to them. Not shoegazing in the Ride sense, but deep, textured sounds that are really good on the ear.
