5.0 out of 5 stars one of the best melodic rock/AOR albums ever!!
This is one awesome album. It is more pollished and refined than their second, yet equally superb, album 'Screw It'. The production is clear, with great use of reverb that is a must on all albums of this genre, and the vocals really shine. Andy Timmons plays on a few of the tracks, whilst Tony Bruno plays some fantastic guitar work throughout. Personal stand out tracks...

3.0 out of 5 stars Not a bad start
D2 were among the "also ran"'s of the Hair Metal era. This, their first album, spawned a minor ballad hit, and overall is OK, comparable with Motley Crue, Poison, that kind of stuff. What set them apart was the recruitment of Andy Timmons part way through the recording process. He is one of the best and most versatile guitarists around, bar no-one. He only plays on 2...

Andy Timmons plays on a few of the tracks, whilst Tony Bruno plays some fantastic guitar work throughout. Personal stand out tracks are 'Naughty Naughty' with its huge singalong chorus, 'Under the Gun' which sounds very much like anything from Bon Jovis 1st CD, 'Bang Bang', & 'dont walk away' which is a superb mid tempo soft rocker, an AOR classic. 5.0 out of 5 stars Bang! Bang!, 20 July 2012
Verified Purchase(What is this?)
This review is from: Danger Danger (Audio CD)
Never being a fan of Danger Danger, I always considered them a knock-off of Def Leppard and only purchased the Monkey Business 7inch back in 1991 but I was tempted to get this album after I'd seen it listed in many top albums of the 80's in this genre of rock music.
I can gladly say it's a great record, especially considering it's the debut album by DD. Ok, there's no seriousness to any of the lyrics and some of the melodies and riffs are formulaic but who cares. I bought this wanting a bit of pop-rock to blast away in the car and it's perfect for that.
I'm not going to list the best tracks as the whole album pretty much consists of tracks on a par with each other. If anything, tracks 2 & 3 show their age and lack of song writing finesse the most but do not detract from the rest of the album.

It may be a bit of an ask to get younger kids into this album, but highly recommended to anyone like me who missed this first time round.

He only plays on 2 songs here, and his quality is streets ahead of the poor chap who preceeded him.
It isn't bad, I prefer Screw It (second album) and especially Cockroach, which IMHO is the best thing they've ever recorded.
