5.0 out of 5 stars A record setting Rumble match & Rage of The Madness!, 13 Jun. 2013
This review is from: Royal Rumble 1991 VHS Video Cassette (VHS Tape)
Action kicks off strong as The Rockers face Mr Fuji's Orient Express in a spectacular Tag Team match that is fast paced on more than one occasion and includes innovative offence for the time.
The rematch from WrestleMania 6 far surpasses at Royal Rumble 91. 4/5

The Big Bossman's feud against Bobby 'Brain' Heenan continues as The Barbarian aims to do The Brain's dirty work for him inside the ring.
Not the best match on the card but where it lacks from within the ropes, Bobby Heenan makes up for it just outside them. 2/5

The World Wrestling Federation Title is on the line as The Ultimate Warrior defends against American traitor & Iraqi sympathiser, SGT Slaughter; front & Centre.
The build up to this match featuring Macho King Randy Savage, Sensational Queen Sherri & The Ultimate Warrior was in one sense better than the match but in another sense made this match one of the most action packed and emotionally charged match arguably in the history of the company as The Rage of The Madness was let loose after a title match request was turned down. 5/5 Thanks to the show stealer, Randy Savage.

The Mountie vs Koko B Ware 9 minute match was not included on this VHS for some reason. It's a shame that because The Mountie was so entertaining.

More Tag Team action as the Father/Son duo of The American Dream Dusty Rhodes teams up with Dustin Rhodes to face The Million Dollar Man Ted DiBiase & his Bodyguard Virgil.
The main feud in this match was between Dusty & Dibiase as The Common Man goes out to finally get revenge on The Rich Man for his "inexcusable behaviour" towards "The Less Privileged"
Better than you might expect but then Dibiase is in it. This match also sees early stages of tension between Dibiase & Virgil on Virgil's behalf. 2.5/5

The 30 Man Royal Rumble match and officially the one with the most superstars in the ring at one time as well as a record setting time by a superstar that would not be beat until 15 years later in 2006.
At this time it was not a stipulation that the winner faces the WWF Champion at WrestleMania.
By the way only 29 entered the Rumble match in 1991. Randy Savage did not enter as scheduled. 5/5

A really fun event over all and the unfolding storylines here makes it an essential to own but worth purchasing for Randy Savage's performance alone.

MVP's, Randy Savage, The Rockers & Ric 'Model' Martel.

Over all rating 4.5/5.
Every old school fan will thoroughly enjoy Royal Rumble 91 & every fan will love Randy Savage's performance. Buy it now !!!
