This album is one of my all-time absolute favourite albums.
Not just from this band, but from my entire music collection.

This record is a monster.
Straight away with 'Ready For Blood', this album is a beast waiting to be unleased through your speakers.

Being a long-time My Ruin I suppose you may think it would be easy for me to sit here and write how good the album is, and the review be a little biased.
That is not the case with 'Throat Full Of Heart'. The album really does speak/scream for itself!
This is by far the best My Ruin album to date.

Over the years My Ruin really have defined their sound. And although there is no spoken word parts layered within these songs, which have featured My Ruins back catalogue (which seem popular with a lot of fans), 'Throat Full Of Heart' as a whole, is one of those records that you just need. It's not predictable, it has bite, it has substance, and it's an album to wake you up, ignite the fire inside of you and remind you that the rock/metal scene is still alive and (ass) kicking.

Tairrie B Murphy's vocals on this record are just incredible, not only just on the album, but when you hear these songs live, they blow you away.
There aren't many female vocalists in this scene that can do it, nevermind that can pull it off live, leaving you standing there in awe at times.
Mick Murphy, a true master of his art, and it cannot be said enough how he truly is rocks best kept secret. Mick gives this album the true 'My Ruin' sound, but without it sounding too familiar and too much like past records. This album stands alone, and is a record that should be in every true rock/metal fans collection.

So many bands let me down over the years, the more and more records they release, their originality just fading away.
My Ruin have never done this.
Each album is as refreshing as the last, always with something new to add, and leave you begging for more, wondering what will be next.

Personal favourites:
Slide You The Horn - One kick-ass rock n roll song, get your drink on and rock out, this ones a killer.
Memento Mori - Killer riffs and vocals that knock everyone else out of the water.

There's not one song on this album I do not love.
For me, personally, whenever I hear this album just brings back the most amazing memories, especially from seeing My Ruin on this tour, and defines a time in my life I will never forget.
It doesn't matter what mood I'm in, this album brings the biggest smile to my face.

It truly is one of the best metal/rock records I have heard in a very long time. So check it out, you wont regret it.
Mi Ruina Por Vida xXx
