"Papa Nez" is one of a kind and these two late 70s albums are absolute crackers. They're less country than his earlier stuff and I really can't find anything else to compare them to, but as with all of his songs the lyrics are intelligent and often witty, and the music is catchy and very well played and produced. The delight of this double package is that it made me rediscover why I loved the albums so much in the first place. His one hit single, 'Rio', is here but there are many other gems for you to unearth if you've not previously been familiar with his post-Monkee output.

Having been a huge Monkees Fan I followed and bought Mike Nesmiths albums on vinyl and was always delighted with them. These two albums have long been old vinyl favourites of mine and now to be able to get them on CD is truly wonderful. A great artist, great voice, great songs.
