This certainly is NOT suitable for 'all small animals' as the description says. I am not sure about other animals but I know for a fact rabbits should never eat potato. I only bought this with the intention of picking out the potato bits however it proved to be harder than I thought as the particular bag that I received all looked pretty much the same. And it looked like it was almost ALL potato, not much in the way of fruit.

Out of the entire bag I managed to pick out a few pieced of banana, carrot and apple but of no interest to my rabbit. She did eat the first piece of banana I offered her however she did not show any interest again after that. Seems very low quality.

So no, I wouldn't recommend this, I would much rather give her fresh fruit as a treat instead.

WARNING: I found apple seeds in one if the bits of apple which are TOXIC to hamsters, I'm not sure about other small rodents. Really not impressed considering this is food designed with hamsters, rats, mice etc in mind. I was thankful I noticed it the first time when I went to put some in my hammies cage. You would think a company such as this would be aware of whats going into their products and be careful when preparing fruit. Other than that major issue the 'fruit salad' is still rubbish. No banana in my bag as the picture depicts, it mainly consisted of half dried soggy apple and rock hard rosehips. I tried to cut one open with a knife (which was a nightmare) to see if I could entice my hamster to try some but he wasn't interested in the slightest. All in all a massive fail, my hamster won't eat any of it and he's normally very greedy and loves all sorts of treats.

This is what it is suppose to contain:
Apples, Bananas, Carrots, Rowen Berries, Leeks, Parsnips, Rosehips, Potatoes

What I actually received:
LOADS of apple, rose hips and carrot
TINY amount of what I assume is leeks, parsnip and potato?! (No large bits to nibble on, just small flakes)
NO rowen berries or banana....

It's known by pretty much anyone who owns guinea pigs that they shouldn't eat leeks or potatoes. I wouldn't suggest giving these to any small animal because of this. It's a shame, as other ingredients the animals would love. save your money, don't but this, and dry out fruit & veg you have at home in a low oven.

I bought this a few weeks ago, and it still smells as fresh as the first time we opened it. My 1 year young male siberian hamster Husky absolutely loves it! It is most definitely his favourite treat ever! It smells delicious, natural dry fruits. It is very healthy for Husky who gets totally hyper once we put a few of those in his little feeding bowl. You should definitely treat your little ones with this healthy fruit salad! Will definitely buy more of those! :)

it has leeks in it, if they were left out it would be a nice treat for certain breeds of Hamster

My bunnies love it, however it doesn't seem very well thought out for 'small animals'. Rabbits shouldn't have potatoe, yet this bag contains potatoes. Maybe worth developing rabbit friendly, hamster friendly etc bags as I find it very frustrating having to pick out things my bunnies shouldn't eat!

Our Hamster, loves this fruit-mix, very much.

It is then not only for larger animals, such as salat-eating ones like rabbits.
Our Hamster also loves fresh fruit-pieces (apple etc.).

I haven't noticed seeds (toxic-problem) - and our bag has got a good versatile mix.

This is probably the third time I have purchased this - my rabbit loves it..especially the banana bits! There are however really hard peices in there that my rabbit doesn't like/can't bite into bt this is one of his favourite treats

Healthy fruit salad was purchased for my house rabbits . The downside of this product is that they loved this so much that I had to restrict the amount they ate otherwise they would have got ill! Will be buying more xx
