This DVD contains four episodes (17 - 20).
There's trouble in Cronos as the organisation seems fractured by offshoots and renegade Zoanoids. It's during episode 17 that we get a true glimpse of the pure evil that drives Cronos when they turn a local village into what seems like the village of the damned.
New energy is given to the series during this volume and it feels almost like a new beginning. The troupe find an unlikely sanctuary and make new allies. There's a great claustrophobic feel and plenty of tension as the characters embark on a fresh adventure into the unknown.
I don't want to give away the plot, so I won't detail any specifics. But there are more characters being introduced and a further link to the historic past of the Guyver units. Sho and Mizuki finally might be coming to understand how much they mean to each other while the gang start to formulate a plan which they hope will conclude the terror of Cronos. The series is now starting to feel quite epic, and more Sci-Fi than it has up to now.
In a nutshell: If you're not familiar with Guyver then by this stage you'll not know what is going to happen, and you'll be absolutely gripped. The story is advancing fast but it doesn't ignore the character development - emotions are running high and by this stage you know the characters well. You can't help but get the impression that something big is building up for the next volume...

After their last battle with Aptom(who is badass), Sho and Mizuki try to find shelter in a village but they local are Zoanoids in disguise. While this is going on Aptom encounters Elite Hyper-Zoanoids and absorbs Elegan while the others just stand there, Aptom absorbs him just like "The Thing".
After this all parties make their way to Relic's Point where they find new Allies inside Cronos at the bottom level. All other crazy stuff happen in this volume so theres plenty to keep you entertained as more secrets about "the creators" are revealed and a new Zoalord confronts . For about under £2 this is amazing value and an awesome Anime.

Once you start watching you fall into the trap of not being able to stop, just like the original! The new and revamped Guyver this time has a full 26 episodes unlike the original 12 from the early '90'. Not as bloody as the original but just as addictive :-)
I have completed my collection Vol 1-7(US) and you will be glad to hear that you have more to look forward to as there will be more twists, stronger Zoanoids, harder Zoalords and a little suprize from Sho (Guyver 1)
