5.0 out of 5 stars Another top album
Louis XIV are generally an unknown quantity outside of their native USA but hopefully this album will finally change that.

An album that changes rhythms without a care for the listener is of the same attitude as the band themselves as they create a dirty sound for the majority of the tracks. The first track on the album is one of the best as you are thrown...

Louis XIV are generally an unknown quantity outside of their native USA but hopefully this album will finally change that.

An album that changes rhythms without a care for the listener is of the same attitude as the band themselves as they create a dirty sound for the majority of the tracks. The first track on the album is one of the best as you are thrown straight into a rock song of the same kind as the last album, then followed by a distinct change of tune as 'Air Traffic Control' (also a single release) is a slower, slightly more morose journey through trials and tribulations of an emergency aeroplane landing.

The album then continues in this vein, moving from rock to melody to create a tense yet exciting atmosphere. A must for those who enjoy a more alternative rock sound but is quite an acquired taste so don't be put off by a confused first listen.
