5.0 out of 5 stars Excellent jars for attractive, sealed food storage option
I have several of these jars in a variety of sizes to store my dry foods (flour, rice, pasta, sugar, etc.). Because we have a small kitchen with limited cupboard space, we need to use all the open space we have in the kitchen for storing dry goods. This makes everything look so much nicer and more organised. Other reviewers said they had problems with the rubber seals...

1.0 out of 5 stars Cheap where it matters
The wire closure on these jars is weak and as a result doesn't give a particularly good seal - In time I think it will only get worse - Pay the extra money and get a quality product instead

I've bought three of these Kitchen Craft preserving jars (the 750g, 1500g and 2100g sizes).

On one of the jars, the rubber sealing ring was perished and split as I tried to fit it to its lid (thankfully I'd also purchased a ten pack of replacement seals at the same time).

The lid locking mechanism is poor quality compared to other brands of persevering jars I own - wire is quite loose in the jar/lid grooves.

Worst of all, the rims of two of the jars are uneven (the lid does not sit flush). One is only slightly uneven, so the rubber seal compensates for that, but the other (the 1500g - the one on this page) is so bad I can see a gap between the lid and the jar (that's when the lid is locked down)! Totally unfit for the purpose.

Perhaps I've just been unlucky with these two jars (the 2100g size jar is fine), but I won't be buying any more of these.

This makes everything look so much nicer and more organised. Other reviewers said they had problems with the rubber seals breaking, but I have never had any problems. The seals fit on nicely and provide protection from air and moisture to keep the food fresh. My kitchen looks great, thanks in large part to these jars.
