If like me, you enjoyed the film, then you will love this soundtrack. John C Reily has a really great voice and does all the soundtrack himself. It's got some funny songs that copy the styles of the early and late beatles and Bob Dylan. Its also got some original heart-touching songs like Beautiful Ride which look back at the career and life of Dewey Cox. Great album with a whole spectrum of music genres. A tad bit on the short side, but it keeps you coming back for the next listen.
Well worth it if you enjoyed the movie, or are a fan of Reily.

The best songs of the movie is on this disc, although I really wanted the Half-Brother Blues as well. I don't regret buying it, though, since songs like Let Me Hold You, Let's Duet and other great songs are on it.

It's a treat to get Dan Bern songs in such a new context and to hear how brilliant a parodist he is. Anyone who loves Bern's music, his originality and his searing satirical wit - along with his capacity for honest and tender lyrics when needed - will be thrilled to get this disc. Not all the songs are Bern's but the whole thing is a great buy.
