5.0 out of 5 stars Good bike, especially for med height & tall people
Found the bike very easy to assemble (45 min, alone, and never done it before). The screws are clearly labeled too.
The bike is very solid.. doesn't feel flimsy at all. We also find it suits medium to tall people well (at 5'8" and 6', we use saddle height setting 3). Started exercising on a beginner level 2.5 months ago, and still very pleased with the machine...

3.0 out of 5 stars Not Right For A Short Person
Well made and easy to assemble within an hour. The electronic LCD is easy to operate, thus altering the magnetic resistance of the pedals. The saddle is large and comfortable. Overall, I am very pleased with it, however, I offered my friend the chance to sit on it and have a go. I was surprised to find that her feet did not reach the pedals and she could not see the LCD...

5.0 out of 5 stars York C201,
This review is from: York C201 Exercise Bike (Sports)I'm new to Internet shopping. Amazon makes it so easy to shop online. The order was made & delivered within 2 days. Much earlier than expected. The bike was what I expected. I have read the reviews regarding the pros and cons. I was lucky enough the bike work perfectly (at the beginning ). No problem with the screen. Unlucky for me after a few weeks my bike started to make clicking noises which others users had mention therefore I wasn't surprise. I then contacted Amazon via email & had a reply within few hours asking me to send it back to them & they will send me a replacement. I was surprised & shocked to see how quickly the problem was solved. I was still suspicious of the whole arrangement. I read the instructions, downloaded the form & a courier came to pick up exactly on the date stated. Within a few days, my new bike arrived. I was, somehow, waiting for Amazon to contact me that it was all wrong as I couldn't believe how good the service was. After 3 weeks, I knew this was the real deal I was getting from Amazon. I'm really happy with the bike. Bought it after months of no exercise after the birth of my baby. The only thing I'm worry about is the bike making clicking noises in the near future which probably not a fault of Amazon but York Fitness. Thank you Amazon.
5.0 out of 5 stars C201 Exercise Bike,
This review is from: York C201 Exercise Bike (Sports)Having read a number of different reviews on many bikes, I decided on this one. Good decision. My partner and I are both fairly tall, so the bike seat height is perfect. Anyone under 5'7" may have trouble though. Lovely big seat, very clear instructions and easier to assemble than an Ikea wardrobe (which I find very easy!).
Good selection of programmes and enjoy following the pulse rate up and down!!
Would highly recommend
2.0 out of 5 stars Impossible seat,
This review is from: York C201 Exercise Bike (Sports)Great exercise bike at a good price, but the seat fitting is so poorly designed as to be almost a deliberate joke. It is so tight that the seat doesn't fit onto the seat post at all, not without the use of lots of spanners/wrenches/hammers etc anyway. The instructions - mostly very good - are unclear and useless in this. This sort of thing is very 1970s in terms of customer service and completely unacceptable these days, which is a pity as the basic product is well made and sturdy.
I would recommend this bike to those with lots of time and patience and plenty of experience building self-assembly products, but others should be cautious when considering this purchase.

4.0 out of 5 stars York c201,
This review is from: York C201 Exercise Bike (Sports)The only problem with the bike came on completion of the 45 minute set up and assembly. The connection for the power lead (at the base of the bike at the rear) was not present. The clip holding the socket into place had broken. We found this by removing some of the screws and taking a look inside the bike. We were able to pull the socket almost into place and connect up the power after some messing about. It does mean that we will not be able to disconnect the power lead from the bike, even when moving the bike. Fiddling around like this seemed preferable to dismantling the bike and re-assembling another.
As for using the bike, its great, we use it everyday. the only thing that does not work is the heart rate monitor, but lots of others say that on the reviews so no surprises there.
4.0 out of 5 stars First impressions: pleased so far,
This review is from: York C201 Exercise Bike (Sports)I was quite hesitant about buying this bike at first due to a few negative reviews I read. But I was drawn to this one for the various programs it offered so I took a gamble and went for it anyway. So it just arrived today. Setup was easy, though admittedly I had a much more DIY-savvy person on hand to do most of the assembly for me. But there were no problems, all parts included and everything went together as it should. Cycling feels fairly smooth and is very quiet. The one issue I have with it so far is the saddle size, which I think someone else mentioned in their review. It is.. huge. I'm on the smaller size and it feels extremely wide which makes cycling feel a little awkward. I suppose this isn't the biggest problem, as everything else is fine and I can always buy a thinner saddle (which I probably will do soon), but it is a slight annoyance. Also, I'm 5'6" and I have to use the seat on the lowest height setting (which is a comfortable height I should add), so I agree with others who have said this may not be suitable for anyone who's on the shorter side.
Being used to using the stationary bike at my gym I expect this one will take a little while for me to get used to, but so far I'm happy with it.
5.0 out of 5 stars an excellent product,
This review is from: York C201 Exercise Bike (Sports)I ordered this exercise bike based on positive reviews online, and have not been disappointed. The assembly instructions are excellent (though you do need a helper at times) and the whole thing feels very sturdy. Although I haven't tried the Tour de France level yet, being an unfit potterer, the controls are easy to programme and a beginner could certainly use the easy levels. The only slight drawback is that you can't adjust the angle of the saddle, so that if you get really energetic you tend to slide forward, but perhaps the answer is trousers with less friction.
4.0 out of 5 stars A good exercise cycle for personal use,
This review is from: York C201 Exercise Bike (Sports)A good piece of fitness equipment. Very much as advertised. Appears very well built. Some limitations to the range of positions for the saddle/bars/pedals. Short users would struggle.
The equipment is really quiet - it can be used without drowning the noise from other things.
The instructions for assembly are very clear.
