5.0 out of 5 stars Great rock sound
I always thought Geordie had a great rock sound when I bought there three hit singles in the 70's (all included here), not being able to afford the album in it's day I was looking forward to a quality re-release of this album, listening to it today it shows that Geordie weren't just a singles band, the album is strong and consistant from start to finish, I can just...

3.0 out of 5 stars Liggie found in full working order
Its not that great BUT it has its moments and finds a great singer working with a band flitting between Zep, Slade and Lindisfarne. The fact that I remember so much of it, not having heard it since I was taking a crate of Dog and a bottle of Cinzano (for the lass) to teenage parties suggests its catchy at least. Its worth a punt. Now, if only Brian would buy the the...

The singles, the B sides and thats about it really. The rest are throw away songs. However, its worth the price for the reminiscence value.

5.0 out of 5 stars Geordie still rocks, 2 Jan 2012

I bought this CD as a present for myself - so sad eh! As an exiled Geordie boy who used to watch the lads regularly back in the early days it's great to listen to the old stuff again - surprisingly the talents of Vic and the lads still stand the test of time - he was as good as Blackmore at laying down a great riff.

I'd like to hear AC/DC do a cover as a tribute! Do you think the Oz lads would know what a "liggie" is????

Best ever line up however was post Geordie, when Vic teamed up with Dave Ditchburn (a proper singer - sorry Brian!).

5.0 out of 5 stars Feeling that drum that on purpose delays rhythm is good, 20 April 2006

This review is from: Hope You Like It (Audio CD)
It is announcement 1st in year of the '73.

Because this band has given the rhythm that it is extreme for Tame of the drum to feel it in Mota, and is peculiar to music and heavy, I like it very much. The effect appears especially remarkably in this first album and single "Black Cat Woman" of the album uncollection. The sound had the uncommon one though looks were not comparatively ..sales by the glam rock.. so good and dirty images.

The rock'n'roll with a good sea weed "Keep on Rockin'" the first fifthly "All Because of You" etc. is performed as undulating. It was felt that Kyoctotono changed completely, and it had become very sober in 2nd album though this 1st album was energetic, full, and a sea weed sea weed. Moreover, "Brian Johnson" of vocal loses "Bon Scott", joins "AC/DC" of the depression, contributes to the scale-up of the band greatly, and has succeeded greatly.
