4.0 out of 5 stars Hardcore is better than ever
I don't know why everyone is so upset with all the hardcore that is coming out these days. . . I think that hardcore is about to hit some new level and watch out. hardcore for ever. . . This bonkers in an amazing mix the firsat disc is uplifting and then it smashes into a semi gabba explosion, the Kevin energy and sharkey disc is the same as always left me wanting more...

3.0 out of 5 stars what's happened 2 hardcore???
i don't understand what the producers are thinking these days...alot of people are saying the same thing over and over, but they're not listening to us!!! all the hardcore tunes over the last last year sound the same, the synths don't stand out from each other like they used to - bonkers 8 to 15 were the phattest box sets...ever...and every track on those CD's were...

2.0 out of 5 stars Is Hardcore getting stale?, 31 Oct 2007
This review is from: Bonkers 17 Rebooted (Audio CD)
React music state that Bonkers 17 was released with a need for diversity in mind. To be honest there isn't that much diversity. Sadly even Sharkey & Kevin Energy's mix isn't a whole lot different to the other CDs - lots more vocal tunes and trancy riffs than there used to be. What happened to the dark tunes and freaky sounds?
Scott Brown and Brisk n Ham throw in some newstyle gabber tunes but they just don't do anything for me.
Hardcore used to have different sounds for different artist, but it seems like they're all using the same kit these days in exactly the same ways.
My advice? Save your 9 quid and buy two cheap older Bonkers (anything pre-Bonkers 11)
