Outstanding album, a must have for anyone who listens to detuned, sludgy, doomy blues.
Tied joint favorite EYEHATEGOD album with their debut, in the name of suffering. Epic riffs.

when people talk about eyehategod (and that isn't too often), it is generally agreed that dopesick is their best album. however, this is easily as good with numerous excellent songs - if you like eyehategod and don't have this - it is definately recommended.
As a warning to newcomers, eyehategod are NOT for everyone; I would listen to some sound clips first and be prepared for lots of feedback, harsh vocals and slow/heavy riffs. If this sounds like your thing, give it a try.

12 track magnum opus of down n'out, downtuned rawk n' god knows what from New Orleans self styled sludgesters. This their sophomore album is widely regarded to be their best and that is my view also. Contains the eponymous Shoplift and Sister F**cker 1&2.
These guys are legends and this is thier best album if thats not incentive to snap it up then what is, if there is a sludgier album it would have to be stored in a bottle.
If you like this check out Soilent green, Goats blood and anything on southern lord or relapse records.
