Well, well, well, don't know what it is that Fin and the boys have resorted to for refreshment now but it sure as hell works!
Fin, Pete, Chris and RD sound as if they have been given a coffee colonic right enough and perhaps the shock of some healthy living has them producing the edgiest and evilest rock magic since the best moments of their heyday...and then some. We were glad to hear them 'Back From The Dead' with the classic Alternativa amongst others but 'Harsh Reality' really hits the spot and keeps hitting it after it has begged for mercy! The melodies are stronger and pinned down from underneath by Pete's bass zooming and zinging against Paul's rock drill drumming. Chris's geetar playing is just awesome, the band just sounds so...together. As for Mr.Fin, well the lyrical whimsies are still there but listen to that voice! Why this man is still in rock's shadows Lord alone knows, listen to him strut and rut.
Rock and Roll ain't rocket science, but this is album is the nuclear bomb!
