I would recommend this film to anyone who enjoys good solid drama and with an excellent cast. I am glad that I have seen it.
Well Done!

good film has it might be ,but the dvd by slam dunk media is a bad transfer and is also let down by 4.3 letterbox version and not 16.9 enhanced ,shame.

This movie really left me cold. Despite a great cast, the film really lacks punch. Also the look of it and the sound lets it down and appears to be of inferior quality. Even a brief appearance by Stephen Fry failed to lift it.

The ending is ridiculous, by the way.

My advice is to give it a wide berth.

This film is a faithful representation of Waugh's book. It is sharp, and paints a stinging picture of life in the upper echelons of the society of his day - something which did not escape his own acute eye, obviously.

This book is very unlike Brideshead Revisited and is not so long. I enjoyed this book very much, it is one of those books that you think about along time after you read it and keeps you thinking what will happen next. There is also some very interesting character some you will love some you are not sure about or even hate, my favourite character was Tony Last Read the book and discover your favourite.

I am (in the title- box) quoting the "Time Out Fim Guide" summary of the film.
It is a total failure; the book is a masterpiece to which Sturridge failed to do justice.

Almost two hours of complete rubbish.
Struggle to keep awake.
Save your money and watch the grass grow. More interesting.
