5.0 out of 5 stars Careful which product you buy!, 24 Feb. 2008

There are already reviews for the other two versions of this excellent box-set. The main comment to make about this one is that it's the cheapest of the three versions. (At the time of writing.) The track listing is as per the original format, which comes in a dark blue longbox format. This particular variant is the re-released product, which was also briefly available with a full book treatment. The main advantage, therefore, is that purchasers can obtain this truly superb box-set without blowing a more serious hole in their wallet/purse.

4.0 out of 5 stars Masterful Marvin, 2 Aug. 2010

If, like me you have Marvins' later cd's (What's Goin' On, Let's Get It On, Hear My Dear etc)then this mini-boxset gives you the essential material from his earlier career. I'm not an afficionado on Marvin Gaye so some people would disagree with me. However, as well as the music, the booklet is excellent & the whole package is well put together so for the princely sum of £14.93 then it was money well spent.

A beautiful voice that could only come from a tortured soul. A very rare talent that puts the voice of instant celebrity of the the X Factor genre in their place - these fame seekers are not fit to lace the shoes of the likes of Marvin Gaye. Here is the real deal and not the cosmetic deal.
