Ordered this stand last week, and am really pleased with it.

I actually phoned up the company and ordered it direct with them (as I needed it delivered on a Saturday, and I couldn't specify this via Amazon). They were able to organise a Saturday delivery (for a £15 premium - but that's worth it for the convenience I think).

I was a bit worried about it turning up broken, the majority of it being being made of glass (and bearing in mind the review below which mentioned a broken delivery), but when I spoke to the company, they told me to write "tatty box" on the delivery guy's sheet when I signed for it, so if it was broken, they would rpelace it immediately for me.

I needn't have worried though, as it turned up packed extremely securely, with a lot of polystyrene, and the box itself had wooden slats inside to provide strength to the box and stop things moving about in transit.

The unit was very easy to put together, took about 15-20 minutes, didn't need any tools (just the alan key that was in the box), and it is now sitting in the corner of my room with a 40" Sony x-series on it, and it looks awesome.

All in all, would thoroughly reccomend it, easy to make, looks great and at sub £100, is a bargain versus the competion.

The GT8 is a very nice looking stand. It came well packed and was easy to build.
I have it in a corner and my 40" LCD looks great on it.
The clear glass shelves make it easier to connect up your equipment as you can see what you doing.
One thing to check is the depth of your AV equipment as my Panasonic DVD recorder was too deep to go on the shelf (hung over the front edge due to the scart connectors on the back hitting the posts) so I swapped it with another DVD player.

Actual bought this before buying the tv, e-mail specified delivery date but it arrived well before it. I bought the tv from Amazon as well Toshiba RV555BD they were both delivered together, the packaging in the box the stand came you could possibly make a small cabinet from, it can be assembled by 1 person but you need 2 to turn it over and position, i can honestly say it is a great piece of furniture it compliments the tv well as the glass shelves have a back border the same colour as the tv surround, currently i have on the shelves a dvd, sky+ box on the botom shelf still room available , on the smaller shelf micro hifi and wii console standing on it's end minus the wii stand and still plenty of room to spare, overall we are pleased we bought this unit and the position it's in now have gained about 2 foot of living space back. Have seen unit i think not as good as this one at vastly inflated prices.

Had this for a few weeks and am happy with it still.
A 42" TV has an overhang to each edge of about 1", construction is simple rod and sleeve with an mfd moulded base.
A Video/Audio Amp just fits in the bottom shelf (44cm x 29cm allowing for wiring space at the back)
Top space between shelves is 17.5cm.
Between middle and bottom shelf it's 24cm.
A plastic wire hide is provided which is clipped to top and bottom shelves via 4 plastic clips.
This wire hide is shown upside down in the picture I think! The large holes to carry the wires are closer to the shelf when fitted around the other way, thereby hiding the wiring better.

Found previous reviews very helpful particulary the photos as we were a little unsure about what we wanted but we loved this design not too intrusive looks great with 42" Panasonic. Very simple to assemble but does require two people as shelves very solid. No scratches or marks and it was very well packed. Speedy delivery, excellent service all round, cannot fault it - if you knew my husband he tried desperately to find something wrong but cound not!

superb unit in excellent packaging that only took 20 minutes to construct, a must for anyone with a medium sized TV, it is a super fit into our alcove and you can squeexe 2 things onto each shelf. We have a PS3, home cinema, wii and virgin media box on ours, get one soon!

My only complaint is that some of the fittings for putting it together are not of the highest quality. On of the threaded nuts bound on at first attempt for me and it was very hard to put together because of this.
It looks great, only way it could be improved a little is more filling in att he back to hide the cables a little better.
looks 5 star, but because of the above can only give this 3 stars.

This is a really nice product, the delivery was fast and could be tracked all of the way. The stand itself looks really good with my 37" black Panasonic TV. The combination of the clear glass, black glass and chrome legs gives a great finish and fits in with my consoles/DVD player and the room itself. The shape is brilliant and different from the normal chunky stands you see. The product was quick and easy to assemble, the packaging was very secure so no chance of any broken or cracked glass. The price was very reasonable for the quality and getting a decent stand for under £100 is a bonus.

Solid build, looks good, nice touch having clear glass with the black outer rim. Was very easy to put together and even the wife thinks it looks the dogs Bs. I have a 37" plasma I wouldn't like to fit a bigger screen on the stand although you could probley push it to a 40" anything bigger would appear to big and out of place

Had horror thoughts of this item arriving broken due to one other reviewer, but had no problems, it arrived on a Saturday, about 5 days early, no tools needed other than the key provided, took about 20 mins to fit, and it looks lovely, even my partner who didnt really say anything when she first saw our new Sony WDL40W4500 other than "its a bit big isnt it" said that the stand looks lovely, its a lovely oval shape which is unusual, so a few people have commented how nice it is, I think its worth spending just that little bit more for that wow factor, highly recommended.
