5.0 out of 5 stars Feel the burn!
I am not normally a huge fan of celebs and their fast buck fitness DVD's but I bought this on the strength of Davina having shedded her weight so sensibly and (between babies) actually manages to keep it off.

3.0 out of 5 stars Workout with a difference
I have been using many of the Rosemary Conley fitness DVDs over the last few months, which are basic, easy to follow and really get results (I've lost 24lbs in 5 months - following the diet, too) and wanted to try a different fitness DVD to ring the changes. However, this wasn't for me. Davina performs with her two trainers and it is fairly entertaining with all...

5.0 out of 5 stars Feel the burn!,
This review is from: Davina - High Energy Five [DVD] (DVD)I am not normally a huge fan of celebs and their fast buck fitness DVD's but I bought this on the strength of Davina having shedded her weight so sensibly and (between babies) actually manages to keep it off.
This is a great fun DVD and really puts you through your paces. There are 5 x 20 mintute sections including aerobics and sections to tone your arms and legs and abs as well as the warm up and cool down. And blimey did that aerobics section work up a sweat! Im not massively unfit (I do use the gym) and it really got my heart pumping so I know it's going to work as you need that to loose weight and tone up.
I was pleasantly surprised by this DVD and even more surprised that Davina didn't annoy me (I love Davina but for some reason thought she might be leaping all over the place getting on my nerves).
I really recommend this for a good work out and am sure it will deliver the desired results.

5.0 out of 5 stars A cut above,
This review is from: Davina - High Energy Five [DVD] (DVD)I bought this DVD about 2 months ago, having purchased various other fitness DVDs by other celebrities in the past. This is by far the best fitnes DVD I have ever tried.
The warm up is brilliant, really gets you warmed up and ready to go. It's about 10 minutes long.
the aerobics section is very hard going, although you really do reap the benefits with perseverance.
the legs section is one of my favourite sections to do, I saw results with regular use in about 3 weeks.
the pump section focuses on the arms and upper body, and after using this DVD 4 times a week for a month I feel more toned and firm in the upper body.
the abdominals section is my least favourite section to do, partly because it's so hard going! It really does get results though, so it's worth getting it done!
the boxing section is my favourite. I was a little apprehensive about this section as I'd never done any boxercise before, but I thoroughly enjoy it. The routine takes a few sessions to get used to, I was punching with the wrong arm a few times! It really gets your heart rate up and I feel energised and like I've had a really good workout after. I cannot recommend this section highly enough!
the cool down does what it says on the tin, stretches the muscles and is a very relaxing end to a tough, but worthwhile workout.
As the sections are split into 20 minute slots, I found it great to be able to choose the two sections I wanted to do each day. The music is really good, and the 'just music' option is great when you are familiar with the routines.
I really cannot recommend this DVD highly enough. I've tried various other DVDs including Jordan and Natalie Cassidy, but they are nothing on this DVD. It really is brilliant! After 6 weeks of regular use (2 sections back to back 3 or 4 times a week) I feel toned, healthy and fit. This is definitely the DVD to buy if you are looking to change the way you feel about your body and want to tone up for summer.

5.0 out of 5 stars Excellent Fun,
This review is from: Davina - High Energy Five [DVD] (DVD)I like all the other reviewers, I own all of Davinas DVDs and this, yet again doesn't fail! All the DVDs are very effective and whilst toning up you also burn fat! Davina throws in funny comments and is lively and not overly chatty.
I was hesitant purchasing this third DVD, as i thought it would be simply a reproduction of the previous ones, but the DVD is divided into 5 20 minute sections, which means you choose your workout and can mix and match depending on your mood and timeframe. It also means that you reduce your chances of getting bored!
With a great soundtrack, there isn't much that you can say about this which is negative. Great for all levels, but ideal even for those who are fit and exercise regularly. Whereas most celeb videos are just gimics and you feel you haven't trained properly this isn't the case here.

5.0 out of 5 stars Love it!,
This review is from: Davina - High Energy Five [DVD] (DVD)I love this DVD, I've been doing 2 of the 20 minute sessions 3 times a week and I'm already losing weight and toning up. The pick and mix style of the workout is great and it really compliments the other Davina workout DVDs. It is hard work at times and I've never sweated so much, but it's really fun and the music is great! Buy it!

5.0 out of 5 stars It really works!,
This review is from: Davina - High Energy Five [DVD] (DVD)I started doing Davina's other dvds last January and was determined to stick with it for the first time in my life! I did and now after doing about 2 sections or 30 minutes of her workout five times a week I've gone from completely untoned, c-section belly, size 12-14 to a toned (with a hint of a six pack!) size 8!( I have not dieted just sensible eating). This new dvd is even better than her others and I love it because even though they're hard at first they're good, easy to follow exercises. What can I say apart from it really works!

4.0 out of 5 stars An enjoyable workout,
This review is from: Davina - High Energy Five [DVD] (DVD)I'd never bought any of Davina's DVD's in the past so I took a bit of a chance with this one, but its definitely paid off!
Its split into 5 sections which are aerobics, legs, abdominals, pump and boxing. They advise you to do 2 sections back to back along with the warm up and cool down so a full workout will take about an hour. The warm up and cool down are very effective, and the legs section (although pretty tough) is my favourite as you can really feel the burn!! The music featured is really up to date too which makes makes it more enjoyable.
I normally do legs plus one other section, and put Davina's intro on in between to give me a bit more motivation!
Overall i'm really happy with this DVD, as it can be as varied as you want it to be and you can see that even Davina gets tired and sweaty which makes you feel better! She also throws in funny comments along the way to take your mind off it!

4.0 out of 5 stars Brilliant DVD for High Impact but not as inventive for Low Impact,
This review is from: Davina - High Energy Five [DVD] (DVD)I have all of Davina's DVD's (except for the pregnancy one) and have enjoyed each one.
I have always worked at high impact level, however after being told by my doctor I have the beginnings of arthritis I was advised to carry on exercising, but to take it down to low impact and not jump about etc.
Looking at the DVD from a low impact perspective was disappointing in the Aerobic section. Jackie who took the session said to watch her for the low impact version or if you live in a flat. I did watch her, however, she only did a low impact exercise once and on the rest of the workout she followed along with Mark and Davina. When doing the "star jump" and "spotty dog" combination (which is predominately jumping exercises) she never gave a low impact option, so my being a regular exerciser and inventive I put in my own version of lunges and single side steps.
In summary I found the aerobics quite boring, however, if I could have done the high impact version I would have enjoyed it, it would be quite a good challenge at Davina's pace. I just hope with future DVD's from this great threesome, they will take into account those who need low impact exercises and those who live in flats!
There are five 20 minute workouts, Aerobics, Legs, Pump, Abdominals and Boxing as well as a separate warm up and cool down.
On a more positive note. The warm up was great, nice and long about 8-10 mins in duration.
The leg section I really enjoyed, I need this to help strengthen the muscles surrounding my knees so this part was great for that (Mark took the session and this time Jackie gave some good low impact options).
There was a great all round upper body workout.
The abdominal part was very challenging, but worked really well and I certainly knew about it the next day.
I just loved the boxing section, it was a great stress buster as well as a workout.
The Cool down was refreshing, but I would have loved it to have been a bit longer.
Overall it is a good DVD, the trainers are very good and Davina is as bubbly as ever! I recommend this DVD definitely.

5.0 out of 5 stars Excellent,
This review is from: Davina - High Energy Five [DVD] (DVD)Also have other Davina DVD's so was bit concerned that this would be a little similar-which it is but for the right reasons. Really like the multiple sections but with just one warm-up and cool-down. Found the toning sections pretty challenging, especially the legs. This is a brilliant DVD which enables you to tailor your work-out to suit your mood and to ensure total body toning. Very impressed!

5.0 out of 5 stars Davina rocks!!!,
This review is from: Davina - High Energy Five [DVD] (DVD)I love, love, love this DVD! I've done the previous Davina DVD, My three thirty minute workouts, so I knew what to expect and I wasn't disappointed!
What I love about this DVD is the fact you can pick and choose what you want to work on, my main things are abs, legs and arms, so I do the pump, abdominals and the legs workout which is great (of course with the warm up and cool down)!
Davina is great fun, and she gets as tired as you do which spurs you on because if she can do it,so can you! And when you see her six pack it really inspires you!
Just give it a go! If its not for you, pop it back on Amazon for sale and get your money back but I honestly think this is one of the best out there.
Oh and if you find Davina annoying you can turn her off and just have the music if you want to!

5.0 out of 5 stars A varied workout and easy to follow,
This review is from: Davina - High Energy Five [DVD] (DVD)I would class myself as at an intermediate fitness level and have several fitness DVDS. This is my first Davina DVD, which I purchased following the positive reviews on Amazon.
I would highly rate this workout as I believe it caters for beginner exercisers and people who are at a more intermediate level. This is achieved by Davina's trainer doing a lower impact version of the workout during the DVD and Davina doing a harder level workout.
I particularly liked the fact that this workout is divided into different sections so you can target specific areas and pick and choose your workout. I also don't feel bored doing this workout as I do with some other ones.
Overall this is one of the best workout DVDs I have purchased.
