5.0 out of 5 stars Hilarious Episodes
Really funny, with lots of guest stars too, like Peter Kay, Steve Coogan and Dawn French. And great extras, including the live Comic Relief Gala with Kate Moss and Russell Brand and an hour-long documentary about the live tour in Australia.

3.0 out of 5 stars funny, but original is better
The original Little Britain was so funny that it is a hard act to follow. This attempt to make an American version is not bad, but no where near as funny as the original. It was worth a try, but I would prefer a new season of the original series!

5.0 out of 5 stars The best Little Britain DVD EVER!, 1 Nov. 2014
Verified Purchase(What is this?)
This review is from: Little Britain Abroad : Complete BBC Special [2006] [DVD] (DVD)
This is probably my all time favourite Little Britain DVD. Little Britain takes all of the characters out of their usual settings, and creates stranger and even funnier scenarios, often with ridiculous results. The special comprises of two 30 minute episodes, some sketches with plot lines carrying over into both. It also has several deleted scenes, a documentary from when Little Britain Live toured in Australia, Comic Relief does Little Britain Live and audio commentary on the special features.
In episode one:
#Lou and Andy take a trip to Disneyland, but disaster strikes when Andy is let into the Cockpit (guest stars Steve Coogan)
#Carol Beer becomes a holiday representative in Majorca and makes an elderly couple's holiday a nightmare
#Daffyd visits Myfanwy in Mykonos on the opening night of her gay bar, but doesn't exactly help advertise it
#Anne causes chaos when Dr Lawrence takes her to the Louvre in Paris
#Marjorie takes a Fatfighters class in the US, but makes the mistake of insulting the sheriff
# Maggie and Judy take a trip to Rome, where Maggie comes to terms with her sexuality - unfortunately for Judy
#Vicky Pollard ends up in a prison in Thailand for drug smuggling
#Bubbles DeVere visits Monte Carlo to harass her favourite celebrity (guest stars Ronnie Corbett)

And in episode two:
#Lou and Andy are stranded on a desert island - but Andy keeps the hotel he finds around the corner to himself
#Vicky's mother comes to represent her on trial in Thailand, but she finds herself in trouble too (guest stars Dawn French)
#Dudley and Ting Tong go on their honeymoon in Belgium, but they stay with Dudley's brother and his Russian bride.
#Bubbles tries to wear a dress about twenty sizes too small for her in a boutique in Switzerland
#Anne has an audience with the Pope at the Vatican, but spoils it at the last minute
#Kenny Craig gets hypnotised by Paul McKenna in Portugal
#Mr Mann visits Morocco to try and find a pirate memory game - but this shopkeeper has much less patience with him than Roy
#Sebastian has arguments with Marvin and is paranoid about the Prime Minister's relationship with the President's relationship at the White House
#The Fatfighters get a visit from Texan Blanche Chuckatuck, who, despite being annoying and racist, still is a better leader than Marjorie

This DVD is hilarious, and definitely worth buying.

Extremely funny if you like black humour! Putting the character in different sites was a good idea. Lots of bonuses which were very interesting indeed!

4.0 out of 5 stars Best of the best of LB, 9 April 2012
This review is from: Little Britain Abroad : Complete BBC Special [2006] [DVD] (DVD)
one of the best of the best of little Britain,
just two words to describe my feelings during watching:
brilliant and (extremely) funny. Even as a german I'm deeply into the british humor and of course in german it also was a great success and really funny (although not as funny as in english).

The product came on time and I enjoyed every minute of it however this DVD is fairly short in comparison to the other Little Britain DVDs available. In spite of this, David Walliams and Matt Lucus did not fail to entertain.

This makes a nice twist on the series giving the opportunity for new scenarios moving the existing characters to new locations. I find it funnier than the original series but you don't get as many episodes for your money
