5.0 out of 5 stars You ARE The Tomb Raider!
Fans of the original Tomb Raider game (1996) look no further for a sequel/remake fit for the XBox 360. Tomb Raider Anniversary delivers.

Modified for new gamers and fans of the original, all on the sleek and stylish graphics and sounds of the 360, Tomb Raider takes you back to where it all started with some new surprises in store for you.

3.0 out of 5 stars Fun but old
It's a great remake of the first Tomb Raider, but they kept stuff of the first one that looks really old instead of remake it, like awkward controls in jumping, the camera it's awful sometimes and you can't see where are you going to jump, and the game has a lot of glitches.

But it's fun to play, and you can collect stuff in every map, so it's long enough to...

2.0 out of 5 stars good but frustrating, ending in boredom., 25 July 2009

= Fun:3.0 out of 5 stars
This review is from: Tomb Raider: Anniversary (Xbox 360) (Video Game)
well, my honest opinion is that this game is great to start with, then gets ridiculous, thats if u have the patience to play it, i can sit and get through all 5 resident evil games, all the legend of zelda games, but this, u die more times than u can count and the controls are fiddly, the cutscenes where u have to press the buttons to survive like resident evil is fun, great adrenaline rush, but the levels get confusing, end up running round all day trying to figure out what ur doing wrong and like i said earlier, u die somewhere along the lines, and get frustrated and end up turning the bloody thing off, if u want to get the better game between this and underworld, go with underworld, that is my own opinion tho, u might find this the better of the 2, or 3 if u count legend in.

2.0 out of 5 stars Could of been so much better!, 12 Nov 2007

Lara Croft and tomb raider on the PS1 was what got me into video games in a big way. They were simply the best games ever. Legend was good but after so many years out of the arena should of been so much better and I felt let the franchise down a little, although still a playable game.
This anniversary version is like a digitally enhanced remake of the old tomb raider. The problem is it doesnt quite work. Dodgy camera angles, poor physics on occasions and some really crap game play at times let this down. Killing enemies is made far too easy by jumping onto something where they cant reach you and then end of level bosses are stupidly difficult to beat, there is no balance. The music score on the originals was awesome and gave you a real feeling of been a huge environment this is just boring which is very much like the whole game! When you look at the likes of assasin creed, GOW etc and see such graphics and game physics and invention and then the cheap pile of recycled ideas that has gone into this game its such a shame because Tomb Raider was once the daddy of all games. The only redeeming feature is the cheap price!

brings back all the memories of playing it when it first came out on the sega saturn. could've done with a bit more play testing before release though, too many bugs to allow me to give it 5 stars. worth a rent or two but i wouldn't buy it.
