If you like this series then you will love this game, i found it got challenging which keeps it living longer. More players would be good and some of the moves are a bit of a let down if your a hardcore fan of the anime.
It takes you throgh the majority of what you will have seen on TV and has unlocks meaning you will want to play it that much more.
Possibly try renting first, but if you have played the Dragonball Z budokai games and like them then this is probbaly a good buy for you

I bought this just under a week ago, apprehensively because I thought - considering it was released in 2007 - that it would play like it was out-dated and old-fashioned but I was pleasantly surprised. The effects, both graphics and sound put the capabilities of the PS2 to excellent use and the special moves are worth the purchase alone. The special moves are like mini-games in themselves and they're extremely well presented. This plan might lose steam after playing the game after a while but I want to play as all the characters just so I can see the special move sequences. This ranks as one of my favourite one-on-one beat 'em ups along with Killer Instinct, Soul Blade/Calibur and Street Fighter.
