I suppose that the problem with most compilation albums is that they just won't feature all the tracks that you would like them to. This album is no exception although there are a lot of very good tracks, indeed some of them are absolute classics.

It may come as a surprise to find that there aren't any tracks at all from one of the very biggest groups of the 70s,namely Slade but maybe that is because they wouldn't agree to release their tracks for this CD. Artist's on this CD include David Bowie,Queen,The Hollies and John Lennon so there are many big names featured. I would have preferred a lot more tracks from the period that I actually liked such as 'This Flight Tonight','Silver Machine' and 'Focus' but you can't have everything.

All in all this is a pretty good compilation and will please many fans of 70s music as there is a wide selection to choose from. Not bad but could have been better.

My husband bought me this for a Valentine's gift as he knows I love 1970s stuff on radio stations such as Gold. There's a wide range of music from the 1970s and classics such as 'When You're In Love With a Beautiful Woman' and 'Oh What a Night' are included. It's a good album to download to your MP3 as you can skip through some of the slightly rubbish tracks (there are quite a few), but for sheer quantity of material, you can't fault it.

How many budget 70s and 80s multi CD compilations have you looked at which initally hold such promise yet, on closer inspection, disappoint with ill thought out song choices or just plain filler? Well this one is different because it goes beyond the obvious and searches successfully for the less well known gems that you won't hear on the Magic / Heart playlists, yet will still deliver a thrill of recognition and put a smile on your face as they bring back memories of times long past.

GREAT; A lot of good stuff on this CD unlike a lot of other CD which put a few good tracks on and pad them out with a lot of poor tracks

Often a compilation will miss so many of your idea of what should be on it.This being 5 discs manages to get most of them.So if you want a good selection of the chart sounds of the 70's then this is it, well for me it was anyway!

There is a very good range of tracks on here, except for the 5th CD, not such good tracks on it, at least there all there on the 1 CD, obviously I don't bother to play this one.

Pretty good, I'd say. Quite a few choice ones on here. A nice long listen and as its a CD, you can elbow any you don't fancy. Yes, well worth buying at such a good price.
