sheeesh! been a long time coming but it's now here, the definative Motley collection spaning the bands 20 career.
The remastering of some of the older tracks from "too fast.." and "shout..", I feel don't do them any justice and that some things should be left well alone. Tonally they lack any middle gound and the warmth they once had in their rough and ready state. But a good trip down memory lane none the less.
For a man returning to his metal roots out of both nostalgia and a genuine love of the band it was good to hear some of the newer tracks "Punched in the teeth" and "bitter pill" are good solid pop and finds the band keeping up with technology in the studio whilst returning to the songwriting they were renowned for, clean, simple pop/rock.
Not too sure about their "dable" with loops and samples on "glitter" I think it was. Mmm
As a package you can't get a better deal, 45 mins of dvd and hours of music all for not much more than a normal double album (or even a single one in some instances). Superb Compilation.

Finally; a complete history of The Crue in one fantastic package! Being a committed fan it is a definite must have, being a complete novice it will open your eyes to one of the best rock bands of the last two decades. This compilation includes tracks from their first eye-opening album " too fast for love " up to their most recent " new tattoo". Featuring some of their best hard hitting tunes, and a few ballads as well, its music to tap your feet to, sing along to and most of all play loud. The extra bonus is that with this compilation you get a dvd: extreme viewing pleasure!!! Put on your heeled boots and eyeliner and live life "Loud as f@*k" !!!

This is a crazy box set. It is perfect for any beginner Crue fan, or just someone who wants all their best songs together. The price is excellent, you can't really complain at it, it's the same as the cost of a normal 2CD in HMV or whatever, plus here you get a DVD and a whole essay on the band.
The best songs here (in my opinion) are 'Bitter Pill', 'Girls, Girls, Girls', 'Take Me To The Top' and 'Merry-Go-Round', but really, all the sogs are very classy and well written.
Overall, this is a must buy for anyone who wants to learn about the greatest hair metal band ever, or just any fan of rock. 5/5.

i can't wait to buy this one when it comes out as this is more or less the best compilation of Motley Crues best songs and highly recommended for anybody wanting to sample their best hits before examining the delights of there re issued best albums from 2003 since this is better than the current compilation they released when getting back together two years ago.

The dvd itself is a added bonus but anybody wanting to see the full package should get the red white and crue dvd that has just about all there best videos of them in their prime.

Brilliant - not much more to add, a must have to be listened to with the volume way up high like all crue music.

A great collection of some fine Motley songs.
Not a greatist hits album!!!! Just there favorites.
The DVD is good but hasn't any extras. If you want
all the video's with extra stuff get the greatist video hits DVD
it has every video they have ever done plus an interview with Nikki and Tommy.

I've been looking forward to this CD for a long time. However it just isn't what we were promised. Nikki Sixx has been telling everyone how this CD will have really rare and early tracks, well Nikki where are they??
Don't get me wrong, it has loads of great Motley tracks but it's just really yet another re-release of stuff we already have.
I'll give it 3 stars because it has great tracks on it. It would have got 5 if it had everything I was looking forward to it having.
