After seeing this rated as the best teether in a baby magazine I thought I'd give it a try. It is more expensive than other teethers (my husband was horrified when I confessed to the cost) but my son will not use any others and loved Sophie from day one. She comes everywhere with us. I did make the mistake of putting it in the sterisliser (wanted it to be clean before he put is in his mouth) and it hasn't squeaked since!

Don't be deceived by its appearance... We thought surely this is a dog toy, but no... This is the best toy we were given for our baby. He LOVES it! Easy to grab when they are first learning to pick things up, lovely to chew when the gums are sore and squeaks! Our 10 month old still loves his.

My six month old son loves this toy, despite it looking like a dog toy. Really helps with his teething pain. Several of his wee friends have one and it is perfect for his little hands to hold.

Bought this for my grand-daughter who was suffering terribly from teething from 3 months onwards. She loved it from the start! It was easy for her to pick up and put in her mouth from whichever angle she was holding the toy. It's playful face and gentle squeek add to its appeal. From an adult perspective, its non-toxic, durable rubber body and the longevity of the manufacturer are enough to quell any fears of an anxious parent. It's probably the best teething toy around and at a price that's comparable to any other of its kind. All in all, it's worth the price.

I had seen a couple of other Mums with Sophie for their babies and thought it looked cheap and horrible and I certainly wasn't going to get one. But then my baby started teething and she was too little to work out how to put the rings that I bought her in her mouth and all the other teethers that I looked at in shops for far too big for her little hands and mouth. So, I looked up Sophie on Amazon, quaked at the price, and reluctantly decided to buy it given the reviews left by other Mums. This is one of the best things that I have bought for my daughter so far. She LOVES her Sophie. As soon as she hears me squeek it she knows Sophie is about to appear and when she comes into view her eyes light up and she gives Sophie one of her biggest smiles! Sophie's appearance has grown on me and I certainly like the enjoyment that she gives to my 4-month old. I would recommend her.

As a first time parent I was sceptical about buying this toy however I am so glad I did. I read the reviews (good and bad) and I still believe it to be a 100% must have purchase. Whilst a more expensive teething toy it is well worth it's value. I purchased Sophie when my daughter was 3 months old and she is still chomping on her with great enthusiasm at 7 months. Sophie gets washed daily with boling water and still squeaks. Admittedly it does look rather like a cheap dog toy but who cares as long as bambino is happy. I shall definitely be buying 'Sophie' for future friends and family babies.

my 7-month old son got it and was not interested in it at first instance. But after a few weeks, he gets used to it and starts to use it as a teether. Only squeeze the Giraffe a few times though, the noise does not seem to appeal to him. Overall it is a nice toy, but perhaps a bit overpriced?

When my Sophie the giraffe arrived in the post I did worry that I had spent far too much money on what is basically a dog toy, but it soon became clear that my daughter loved it. Very chewable and easy to grab.

Our only problem is that our daughter is called Sophie, so we renamed him Phillip.

My eight month baby boy loves this toy. Everytime Sophie squeaks, he smiles and its so easy for him to grab hold of and have a good chew. She goes everywhere we go at the moment!

My baby loves this and spends most of his day with Sophie Giraffe in his mouth!
