brilliant service was given by the seller, however the actual product fell short of the usual problem with the product actually failing to charge the macbook after under two weeks of use.
i hate the fact apple have not fixed this problem and shouldnt impact on your view of this seller. i hope this can be asessed soon.

same as the one found @ apple store but here is cheaper, it does what is suppose to.

It breaks down in just one week time!!! That's horriable!! And it wasn't a new one, it looks obviously has been used before, but they said it was new!! Such a lie! My money has wasted!!

Recently my MacBook began to suffer from the dreaded fraying-cable problem where the cable meets the plug for the connector. With the laptop being a good 4 years old (ish) I did not want to fork out over £60 for a new charger.

Finding this charger I thought it would be a replica, third party supply... however on opening the box I have been pleasantly surprised to find a genuine Apple charger in the box!

The charger is wrapped as it would come out of the box if you had just bought the laptop, and comes with the new L adaptor instead of the old T adaptor (which has fraying issues).

Currently writing this review from my revived MacBook.

The only advice I would have is if you are replacing an existing charger with this one, make sure you keep the cable which runs from the wall to the brick, as the charger only comes with the plug attachment to slot into it (so the only cable you have is that from the brick to the laptop)

Very quick to dispatch the item, it is better than described and works a treat! If you need a replacement, get this!

took a chance on the product because of mixed reviews. got a real apple charger at half the price that really works! worth it!

I was forced to purchase this Power supply because the original one failed after 3 years of use due to serious design fault. This unit is exactly the same design and NO modifications have been applied.

The design fault is that the cable connection from the unit to the Macbook is not repairable. The cable is permanently fixed to the power supply unit and the magsafe plug is not amenable to repair. Hence a failure of the cable, which is very common according to my research, means that the unit has to be scrapped and replaced.

My research shows that the (flimsy)cable commonly fails at the magsafe plug end due to flexing. Sadly after 3 years I was not able to claim on warranty.

I was unaware that there is a generic option available on Amazon otherwise I would have bought it AND save about £20!!!

In a single year I have had three of these devices. As most users will discover, they are wretched and hopelessly unreliable.

Do Apple care? Not whilst Macbook users have to keep buying them.

Edit 2011 - the new macbooks come with a vastly improved and redesigned cable - confirming the criticisms made by so many users :)

No problem with the distributor - speedy turnaround.

Howrever, as so many others have already reported, the original 60w power supply burnt out at the cable join.

The cable of this new one has a tendency for kinks to develop in the cable which doesn't inspire confidence.

Generally cheesed off with the manufacturers for not getting this item right at all!

I bought the item on amazon from MagSafe. I plugged it in and it sparked. I tried to removed it from the wall and it crumbled in my hand. It had a circular yellow sticker with Chinese lettering on it. The sticker also had a warning in English saying "be careful may become hot" I had no difficulty returning it and receiving a refund. I kept a photo of the crumbled mess but can't load it on here! First time I had a problem with an amazon purchase.

Very bad! It stop working after a week! I am going to ask for a refund or a new charger!!!!
