I bought this stuff since my living room is somewhat draughty in the winter. I found that an icy draught was coming through the sides and top of the living-room door (and not so much through the bottom where I have your traditional draught excluder type thing).

Sticking this stuff all along the door frame was easy. I can no longer feel any draught coming through now. Brilliant.

Just one word of warning though: it doesn't work if your girlfriend keeps leaving the bloody door open, thus leaving the dilemma of either saying something each time and sounding like you're nagging, or my option (and the worst), is to just stand up, shut it yourself without a word hoping she'll catch on, but with the horrid realisation that you're turning into your dad.

excellent product. have only got single glazing and live on the edge of open fields so very windy. very easy to fit. must make sure surface is clean. on white pvc hardly shows (unlike previous draft excluders i've tried).after fitting this excluder i'm snug as a bug in a rug!

Very good product but not as good as another model of this product. Profile D works better. Profile P is good but not for very windy weather.

I found the Tesa Draught Excluder easy to apply. I think however that I would have benefited from more detailed guidance as to how best to apply the draught excluder to a variety of old fashioned and ill-fitting doors and windows.

I have noticed some diminution in draughts from leaky doors and windows since applying the draught excluder, and a distinct reduction in noise from the street; but I will be able to tell how effective it is only after all my planned draught-excluding measures have been applied, as draughts are clearly still coming in from other places.

The Tesa Draught Excluder looks very neat. It blends in well with the white painted woodwork.

I would recommend the Tesa Draught Excluder for ease of application and help in reducing noise and draughts.

I was initially fairly impresses with the item, although I did notice a couple of points which may make be think more carefully should I need to purchase again.

Pro's
The item has a good thickness which enables it to fill larger gaps than cheaper alternatives.
The design works well and sufficiently stops draughts and noise.
It's fairly robust yet easy to cut to length with a standard pair of household scissors.

Con's
I found that it was often to thick to use, and that it meant the windows didn't always close correctly. Although a cheaper alternative from a high street homeware store didn't have such a problem.
There wasn't clear instruction or guidance over the best way around to use it, as it's P shape it's understandably not symmetrical which effects the performance.
Despite cleaning the surface and drying prior to application it was very easy to remove, and didn't always stay in place. Some may argue this is in fact a positive as it didn't leave residual marks, but for me it was a hinderance as I kept having to stick it back.

Most of this stuck on pretty well, despite the shortage of instructions on which way round it should go. Just one bit refusing to stay stuck, so will have to replace it or use glue. Keeps out noise but not all the cold. May need a curtain as well.

Amazing cheap solution to draughty windows and doors. We recently purchased a 1930s art deco property with single glazed windows and doors, all timber framed with steal window inserts. My brother in law recommend these to me which have made a huge difference once all the frames were sealed. The roll comes as pictured and depending on the size of your frame/gap the strips can be easily torn so that you can just use one strip, 2 strips if the gap is wider and obviously 3 strips if you have a big gap. You can also lay one strip on top of another if there is still cold air coming through once you have laid the first. Make sure you thoroughly clean where you intend to stick the tape as dust and dirt will prevent the adhesive from sticking. If you make a mistake it can easily be pealed off and re-laid.
