Excellent Ethernet cable. Well made, good solid moulded plugs and boots. Can't fault the price either.

Good quality cable that is not to stiff. This made it easy to fix around a corner of the room without the need to wrestle it into the contour. Can't add much more really, it's a cable at the end of the day so nothing to exciting. Good price, does what it should.

Just as expected from Amazon, good service on a good product

Following the previous review stating that the supplied cable (not sure which seller) was cat 5 and not 5e, and Amazon's comment in the description, "Colours may vary - if you require a particular colour please contact us first", I contacted market seller PlusKom... this is the response that I got:

Moral - choose your seller wiseley!

Came within a day, looks very nice, is very fast, connects to the internet and it has linked upto the router very nicely.

Beware, although the cable is advertised as CAT5e, and the cable has all the markings to back up this claim, all Gigabit enabled devices that I connected to my GS608 using these cables negotiated down to 100Mb. The ReadyNAS seemed unable to cope with these leads and completely dropped off the network. Not good.

Once I put the old cables (too long for my convenience) back between the devices and the GS608 all successfully negotiated 1000Mb again.

The technical details hint towards the lower speed rating and I should have picked up on that. But genuine CAT5e should be able to do gigabit. Just google for "cat5e speed rating".

YMMV, but my experience is that although these cables look the part, they are not.

Two stars for price and service, so not too gutted. Plus, 100Mb may suit most people and I don't wish to discourage those. But if you want Gigabit, you may want to look elsewhere.

I wanted longer cables that would not be seen behing my appliances. The Ethernet cables were ideal length and coulour. These are very good products that were sent out swiftly. I would recommend this retailer to others.

I was initially a bit put off by the price of this cable, you get what you pay for and all that.

However, I have to say I can't fault it. Solid construction, does the job, cheap price - happy buyer.

Cables look very solid construction (have not performed speed tests to check quality), however the ones I received did not have the anti-snag lugs as per the photo. If this is important to you, you might be better off elsewhere or checking with the seller first. I received a very positive customer services experience when I contacted seller about this, prompt, polite and sensible, will definitely use again (but will not assume I will receive what is in the photo without checking first)
