4.0 out of 5 stars FROM POP PRINCESS TO CONTEMPARY SINGER!
twenty-five years ago tiffany was the darling of the airwaves..."i think were alone now" and a clutch of hit singles..a great debut album! then it all went a bit wrong...the follow up albums saw a steady decline in sales...tiffany took some time out...posed for playboy and had a baby! she also matured musically..in 2000 she released the amazing "colour of silence" album...

3.0 out of 5 stars Nice but dull
Ever since her excellent revelation comeback album The Color Of Silence' in 2000, Tiffany has been unable to follow it up. 2005 brought us a terribly camp dance album, which, if dance music is your thing, you'll love. However, I really do think that Tiffany had found her 'sound' as a mature rock/pop singer/songwriter. Her latest release, 'Just Me' isn't bad, but it lacks...

twenty-five years ago tiffany was the darling of the airwaves..."i think were alone now" and a clutch of hit singles..a great debut album! then it all went a bit wrong...the follow up albums saw a steady decline in sales...tiffany took some time out...posed for playboy and had a baby! she also matured musically..in 2000 she released the amazing "colour of silence" album which although not a big seller received huge acclaim not only for the vocals but also the maturity of the songwriting...it had a bit of an alanis morisette angst to it!

tiffanys voice is big enough to stop a bus and instantly recognisable! some love it some say its too nasal. the overall sound reminds me of kelly clarkson but with tiffany on songwriting credits on 7 of the tracks its a strong album with some great lyrics and some great guitar riffs!

the best songs on the album as "feels like love" and "just me" with their californian rock feel, "winters over" - just tiffany and a piano and my personal favourite "this love" which sounds very much like a track from nelly furtados "loose" album called "say it right" which has been in the charts for months on download sales alone in the uk!

a few songs miss the mark "mind candy" and "anyone but me"

its not a groundbreaking album but it is stong musically, vocally and it does have some great lyrics...SHAME THEY ARENT INCLUDED!!

Her latest release, 'Just Me' isn't bad, but it lacks any real bite, and is mostly pleasant, but dull background pop/rock music. Unsurprisingly, one of the tracks from 'Silence', 'I Will Not Breakdown' is included at the end as a bonus track to beef things up a bit.

There's some country flavoured songs here like 'Mind Candy', but this is the worst track. The title song is good, quite inspirational, but the only real highlights are 'Hiding Behind the Face', 'Streets of Gold' and the emotional 'Winter's Over', which Tiffany co-wrote.

The former 80s pop princess' vocals have improved since then, and she has the potential to become a very good, modern contemporary artist, with the correct material. In short, take it or leave it. There's nice music to be heard, but mostly suited to the background.

Was pleasantly shocked to discover this album is pretty damn good. Its chill out music with a soft rock edge, not at all what I expected.

It's twenty years since a tour of shopping malls and a cover of Tommy James and The Shondells' I Think We're Alone Now propelled Tiffany to worldwide fame. You may be surprised that this is her seventh studio album and so yes, she has done more than pose for Playboy and perform on ITV's Hit Me Baby One More Time in the last two decades.

Some might suggest that Tiffany has "matured" as an artist from her bubblegum pop days, and naturally that is true but that doesn't mean that his maturity (and let us not forget that she's still only 36) equates to anything worse listening to.

Granted it's not a terrible album, it's just that its a dull, uninspiring one that panders to the guitar singer/songwriter formula as if that's all that matters.

Some of her fans would tell you this is a sublime album, full of lyrical storytelling and that it's a great statement of personality. It's not. It's your average run-of-the-mill "pop" album that mistakes a "mature" sound for one that is worth anything. I'd avoid this.
