After pondering for a few days on which stand to get for my 50' plasma I finally decided on this one, And boy am I glad I did, it really looks the part in black with the silver legs, only downside is the rather poor cable management, overall a really classy looking stand that I would definately recommend.

Assembly is straight forward and outwardly well packed, but I too had a damaged oval leg as mentioned in a previous review which was not a great start. I chose this stand for it's extra length, and unfortunally this is where this stand's design fault is exposed.
The top shelf is quite thick glass, but the two lower shelves are of thinner glass. With the extra length of this stand, the lower thinner shelf bows under the weight of any equiptment that is placed on it. It really requires an extra short front leg/foot to support the shelf. I have had to pack it up to reduce the bow (about 12mm) and for my own peace of mind. But it now looks abit naf when watching TV with these packers exposed. The final downer on this stand was about three days after assembly, giving the stand is daily dust down, I have noticed one of the rear chrome tops has the chrome plating peeling off.

Read the reviews from others and was a little worried i must admit about performance and quality, however when it arrived yesterday me and my wife put it together and all i can say is we are very happy with the product we have a 55" lcd on top bt vision box on middle plus dvd/surround sound amp on bottom there is absolutly no bow in the glass and would recommend this stand to anyone with a 50"+ tv ( i say 50"+ because i think any smaller and the stand would dwarf the tv lol)

Great value for the money, lost one star as one spacer was missing when we assembled it. Easy to assemble and looks great in our lounge. Excellent delivery time.

Was pleasantly surprised by the quality of the stand. One of the legs was very slightly dented, to be honest I wouldn't have noticed if I wasn't looking hard - but had read other reviews which had highlighted this; we just ensured the dent was facing the back!
The stand was relatively easy to assemble, but definitely needs two people and a relatively large space. The stand is quite sturdy and takes the weight of our 55" Sony TV with no problems. Satellite box, DVD player and game console all sit comfortably on the other two shelves with no problem. Wii fit board slides just nicely under the bottom shelf :-) Cable tidy is not the best, we've found it better just to cable tie the cables together into a neat bundle. Overall, I'm pleased I purchased this, rather than spent 2 or 3 times the money on the more expensive stands.

item arrived quickly and well packaged. On inspection one of the legs was damaged but rather than mess about sending it back my husband took it to work and knocked the dints out..looks like new now. Easy to put together and looks fab. Cannot complain at all...even with a dinted leg!

This is a quality TV stand which is relatively easy to assemble, but as it is quite large you have to be very careful when you turn it the right way up after assembly. We have a 50" Plasma Screen Samsung TV which fits on the stand fine and although lower 2 shelves are thinner than the top shelf they are strong enough for a DVD Player and Sky Box.

My first thoughts were when I opened the box this is well packaged. It probably is however mine arrive with one of the heavy chrome support legs oval instead of round. This was not done at the factory and it was no small achievement by whoever did it as the legs are very strong and were contained in a MDF and hardboard frame and foam wrap in the cardboard box. After a little engineering work and it was round again. This was the hardest part of the job. The assembly instructions were very good and assembly was simple with no tools needed. All the shelves were labelled and I found the best way to put it together was upside down. The 4 legs are held in place by wind nuts fitted to a concealed centre rod. These should not be over tightened. It is a two person job to turn and move this item which is reasonably heavy. The 4 pressure clips that hold the rather feeble cable tidy are different sizes. The two larger ones fix to the top shelve. The tidy will never be seen, once the shelves, which could easily hold six items, are filled. I liked this TV unit when it was assembled. I was delighted with it after it had been cleaned and my piano black 46" TV mounted on it. It does look the part and I am pleased I choose it over the much cheaper clear glass GT5.

This stand looks great and so easy to build up it only took 10 mins to assemble.
Seems fairly sturdy and holds my LG 60inch TV pretty comfortably,TV hangs about 2 inchs over the table each side. The top shelf is almost half the height of the second shelf but because of the width of the stand theres lots of room to put bluray players, mini surround speakers and a dvd recorder. My only gripe is the cable tidy bar at the back is attached using plastic grip screws and doesnt hold on very well so I ditched the tidy bar and its not presented me with any problems. Had they put more effort into the attachment of the tidy cable bar I would have awarded this stand 5 stars. |
