It's hard to get excited about a TV stand, but I thought that I would write my first ever review to say that this one seems flawless - especially when you consider the reviews about other cheap stands that have cut corners on packaging, instructions and build quality. No such problems here ... prompt delivery, excellent packaging, comprehensive instructions, impressive build quality, no sharp corners etc. My only tip would be that when you come to fix the plastic cable tidy assembly, remember the top shelf is slightly thicker than the bottom one and the plastic clips are made to measure (even though they look identical) so make sure you get them the right way round. (Admittedly, even this is mentioned in the manual so I can't grumble.) Hopefully, the remainder of the Centurion range are just as good.

After having done much research(few days)and many sites...than further deciding between smoked black Glass and clear ..decided the Black finish would do more justice to my new LG 50PS8000... came across this Ceturion and slightly cheaper Levv unit.
Both items reviewed well.Chose the centrion..However the concern was the quality of the stand ...whilst looking very nice in description...felt the finish and quality might be lacking...how pleasantly wrong I was.The whole construction and finish of the chrome metal legs and the panels ..Truly Excellent!!!!.

One other very important factor ...many other stands ...the Glass shelves have sharp corner finish... this I find can be quite dangerous with children around. The glass shelves on this stand have a very nice rounded finish at the front.

Assembly was very straightforward (surprising given my DIY skills) with good instructions...as others have pointed out...no tools needed ...all bolts together using wing nuts.
Once assembled ...found it to be very strong and sturdy.

Item was extremely well packaged in wooden casing and ..nice touch in terms of the manufacturer's attention to detail.

Amazon delivery just cant fault!...ordered on 31st Dec ..arrived within 3 days..quite surprising as Holiday period.

Friends visiting thought must have paid ..atleast twice the price..if not more.

After purchasing ..find they do slightly bigger version..for couple of pounds more ..but no Free delivery.However in the end realised this is the perfect size ..the TV overhangs the edge 4 inches either side...but it actually looks very nice this way.Plenty of space below to get DVd and sky,Wii..etc and still have room to spare.

Only gripe and if was really picky ..the plastic cable tidy panel..finish not to the quality of stand ...having said that cant really notice once attached.
Another small point ..manufacturer could use easy peel sticker..as the ones applied ...quite difficult to peel of and can easily scratch glass if not careful.

Overall this is one of the best value items I have ever bought.Would recommend to all...will not be dissapointed.

Guess the only other downside..after these kind of reviews..prices start edging up...Hopefully won't in this case.

Bought this to go with a Panasonic 42PX80. It was easy to put together (no tools required, took about 30 minutes to assemble), and looks stylish. It's also not too deep, which is a plus for me.

I bought this to go with my new Sony Bravia. Arrives on time - well packaged. Easy to assemble. Looks great with the TV. It is wide enough for 2 devices on each shelf (e.g. blu ray and a Virgin box) so you can easily have 4 well-spaced and ventilated units under the TV.

The TV table was not strong enough for a 50" TV.
The Big TV Shop changed it,no problem, but they did not know what TV I had ordered with Amazon.
I think in future Amazon should when passing orders on to a third party should also pass on what the product will have to do.
I give the Big TV Shop full marks for their help. They changed the Centurion GT4 TV table for a much stronger one FREE of charge.

I looked at a lot of TV stands be for settling on this one and I have to say that it is not only excellent value for money but also looks great.
It will complement any living room.
It was also delivered very quickly.
I would recommend it it thoroughly.

Was looking for a tv stand to hold my samsung 40 inch lcd tv and other items like, xbox 360, ps3, wii, dvd player and sky box. Saw great reviews for this item, so decided to go for it. Packaging wasn't the best to be honest when arrived the top and a bit of the bottom was open already, 1 of the washers was missing as well, but this is extremely to replace.

Setting up is very easy, instructions very clear and if you follow them you cant go wrong. Looks fantastic with the glossy black finish, silver legs and all the equipment on it. Definately recommend, great price and great stand.

Have no doubts about this,it is excellent value for money.With an on-time delivery,solid packaging,top quality stylish product and clear,concise assembly instructions,it is exactly what you come to expect from Amazon.Well done to all!

Finally going from a CRT to a LCD flat screen Sony Bravia KDL40W5500U meant a new stand and so after much (ok about 10 minutes) research I plumped for the Centurion and have no regrets about my choice.

I ordered it from amazon late on Sunday night and it arrived via Citylink early Tuesday (note - check the small print for delivery charges). Boxed up it weighs in at 28kg which is manageable for one reasonably strong person. It was well packed with hardboard inside the box, not just padding, so was in one piece (ok several pieces, if you're being pedantic) with not a scratch on any part.

It was reasonably straightforward to put together, no tools required and took a friend and myself about fifteen minutes. It is probably feasible to do it solo, but it's better with two, as are a lot of things :o) Basically, you put the thickest top shelf upside down on a rug and build upwards. It is probably best to take the legs fully apart and group together the leg parts, spacers and washers to use as you need them. The instructions are adequate, though hardly a work of art and the shelves are labelled "this way up" so it's difficult to go wrong. You'll need to spend a few minutes rubbing those stickers off once assembled though.

Once built, the unit is very sturdy and smart in an 80's nightclub kinda way, as is the fashion for black AV kit these days. The glass and chrome are of an excellent quality and did not have a mark on them. The leg tops stand a couple of mm proud of the top surface, not that this looks unsightly, I just thought it may be worth mentioning in case these aesthetic details put you off. Once built, it is easier to move around than I would have thought and the width exactly matches that of my TV so looks made to measure. It is more than deep enough for the TV stand also. You could quite easily fit a DVD player and a games console or digi box across the width of either lower shelf so if you have a lot of kit you will be fine with this unit.

My only gripe is the cheap plastic cable tidy at the back. It attaches at the to the shelves with flimsy plastic clips, is not very substantial and could be wider to be honest. I'll be upgrading my PVR to one with HDMI soon and will finally be rid of the dreaded thick SCART leads so this should be less of an issue soon.

That issue aside, this is a very good stand and at under seventy pounds delivered, a decent price compared to those on the high street.

excellent item, superb quality at a low price. easy to assemble, extremely well packaged, looks as good as stands costing 4 times as much.
I'm not convinced a screen any larger than 40" would look right as it would overhang but with my sony bravia 40" it looks the bees knees.
