5.0 out of 5 stars Five...2012 NOW SEVEN years of trouble free service!
I bought this sleek, quiet, slim line, beautifully designed and easy to use Mitsubishi Dehumidifier way back when I lived in a damp cottage, five years ago,(NOW 7 YEARS & STILL GOING STRONG), and used it then for dehumidifying...in my bedroom, so quiet it did not disturb my sleep. The sheets on my bed became cosy, and the air warmed up. We had no heating upstairs, but even...

3.0 out of 5 stars Disappointed
We bought this to replace our very old Wickes own, one. I was expecting it to be quieter as some reviews had indicated . It wasn't! Also I thought that twelve years on, the technology would have improved. It hasn't (on this model anyway). We still get some condensation on the windows despite trying various programs. So I cannot recommend this brand or model over any of...

5.0 out of 5 stars Five...2012 NOW SEVEN years of trouble free service!,
This review is from: Mitsubishi Electric MJ-E16V-E1I bought this sleek, quiet, slim line, beautifully designed and easy to use Mitsubishi Dehumidifier way back when I lived in a damp cottage, five years ago,(NOW 7 YEARS & STILL GOING STRONG), and used it then for dehumidifying...in my bedroom, so quiet it did not disturb my sleep. The sheets on my bed became cosy, and the air warmed up. We had no heating upstairs, but even the bath towels seemed to dry and fluff up.
I moved last year to a brand new highly insulated home with heat pump and under floor heating...the dehumidifier found a new role as clothing drier...works a treat so no need for a cumbersome energy guzzling and fluff collecting tumble dryer.
GET A MITSUBISHI AND ENJOY!

5.0 out of 5 stars Very pleased,
This review is from: Mitsubishi Electric MJ-E16V-E1Just bought one of these through D.I.O on Amazon. It arrived really quickly and they were even able to tell me when it would be delivered within a one hour delivery window, which was very helpful.
This is the second dehumidifier I've bought. The first one was Ebac that I had some years ago and it became very noisy after a few months, and I eventually stopped using it (should have had it repaired).
In contrast, this unit is very quiet and much much lighter than the Ebac. It has a very slim profile and doesn't look ugly like some of the dehumidifiers I've seen. I had it running for 8 hours yesterday and it took the humidity down from 80 % to 62% in that time frame. Very impressed. This filled half of the unit's 4 litre tank - which is another thing I like about it. Some dehumidifers only seem to have a 2 or 3.5 litre capacity.
This is the model down from the top of the range 'X' version, but i think the only difference is that it doesn't have a digital display like the X version, it's mechanically identical from what I've read. Even so it has a range of settings and is quite intuitive. This unit seems to have all of the functios we need, and from what I've read Mitsubishi units are supposed to be the best.
The instruction manual is good, although it has a two page list of obvious things that you shouldn't do with the unit.
When I was looking on Amazon and researching dehumidifiers, I was a little suspicious of some of the reviews on a few of the top rated products, looking at the reviewers closely left me thinking that a lot of them were none genuine reviews, which is worrying if it is the case.
I also bought a hydrometer alongside this unit to measure the rooms humidity. This was a great little product from a German company, which I have reviewed separately.
As for this unit so far very pleased!

5.0 out of 5 stars Quiet and Easy,
This review is from: Mitsubishi Electric MJ-E16V-E1Unfortunately we live in a damp house (near woods) and Dehumidifiers are necessary. 2 cheap ones broke within a year or so, this one is still going strong 2 years later.
Nice and quiet (compared to other dehumidifiers) and very easy to set up and use.

5.0 out of 5 stars Worth Every Penny,
This review is from: Mitsubishi Electric MJ-E16V-E1I purchased this machine as a replacement for a Delonghi DEM 10, which, in line with many other customer reviews, worked superbly for two and a half years and then suddenly stopped condensing.
The majority of trustworthy review sites stated that Mitsubishi make the best domestic dehumidifiers, and so, despite the quite high price, I bought one.
It is a great little machine, with a number of useful features that are not immediately obvious - one of which being the adjustable louvre which means that you can angle the vented warm air up, forwards or back. In winter, the advantage of this will be that the warmed air can be directed towards the ceiling thereby pushing the moist air down to be collected by the dehumidifier - inspired Japanese thinking. It also does an excellent job of drying the laundry, which with this terrible summer has been a bonus. Both the design and build quality are superb, with high grade plastics used throughout. The controls are very well thought out with an array of useful options including a cold setting which means that unlike many domestic dehumidifiers, it can keep on working even at low temperatures.
If you need a dehumidifier, don't let cost limit your options. It really is worth every penny.

5.0 out of 5 stars Mitsubishi Dehumidifier,
This review is from: Mitsubishi Electric MJ-E16V-E1This product was delivered on the next working day after placing the order - excellent service from DiO.
Sleek and stylish, it exudes quality and should blend in with the decor of most homes. The control panel, sited in plain view on top of the appliance, is very intuitive. Performance is impressive, although some users may find it a little too noisy [on the Low Temperature setting, anyway] when used overnight in bedrooms - perfect if placed in a hall, though.
Worth a notable mention is the quality of the User Guide. Written in straightforward English, it assumes no technical knowledge and is very easy to follow. Other manufacturers, please take note!
Expensive it may be, but this reviewer is delighted with the purchase.

5.0 out of 5 stars Mitsubishi MJ-E16V-E1,
This review is from: Mitsubishi Electric MJ-E16V-E1Five and a half years trouble free, excellent bit of kit, keeps upper floor of large house condensation under control. Neat slim appearance, only minor gripe is the bottom door tends to pop off when emptying the water container but I can live with that as the unit is otherwise first rate. Vastly superior to other cheaper models, well worth the price.

5.0 out of 5 stars Does what it says on the tin!,
This review is from: Mitsubishi Electric MJ-E16V-E1It dehumidifies and does it well. It was delivered quickly and has been in use everyday. It is relatively quiet and I am very satisfied with my purchase.
5.0 out of 5 stars Absolutely fabulous dehumidifier from Mitsubishi,
This review is from: Mitsubishi Electric MJ-E16V-E1I wanted to wait until we had used the product for several months before writing a review. We are so pleased we bought a second one. Live in a 180 years old, single skin red brick cottage, so very porous. We have one upstairs and downstairs. It is very light and compact as stated. Once we had used the first one for several months we did notice the temperature of the room had increased slightly as the air was drier and it was very pleasant. The musty smell has gone as has the damp. We bought a second one as we now also have solar panels and decided to run them through the daylight hours saving money.
4.0 out of 5 stars Damp Bungalow,
This review is from: Mitsubishi Electric MJ-E16V-E1Catches a lot of water, a bit heavy for my other half to move. Don't know how much electricity it uses but it definitely makes a positive difference.
