This is almost 5* if it just held a bit more. My husband uses it for work as there's no access to hot food there, and piping hot food is warm by lunchtime if he microwaves it in the flask before he leaves in the morning. I generally put him some of whatever we're having for tea in it and it stores in the fridge over night and then microwaves in it in the morning so it's no hassle which is great. It goes in the dishwasher too. It's particularly good for stews etc but he has used it for roast dinner before and it did work although we had to squash it in! I'm buying another so he can have one in use and one at home for me to fill up.

This is a huge flask relative to what it can hold. Given its size you'd expect it to be able to keep its contents warm - it can't. Although 4 hours is quoted, it doesn't really keep food warm more than a couple of hours at most. After three hours the contents are cold.

The fact that you can microwave the entire flask is actually quite useful, but you'd expect it to retain the heat for longer.

You're better off spending more and getting one of the more expensive Thermos food flasks.

I bought this product for my son to take hot food to school in. The product HAS to be heated in the microwave for it to work unfortunately it doesn't fit in standard size microwaves. I have returned the product for a refund. Please check before you purchase!

Had been keen to get one of these food thermoses for a long while after using plastic tubs wrapped in bubble wrap of food put in a drinks thermos.

It turned otu to be a bit underwhelming. The capacity is stated, but it is still a surprise to see how tiny the internal dimensions are compared to the outside. The build quality is good and it feels nice but I would still recommend just using a normal metal drinks thermos instead as they are much more compact with larger internal capacity.

The only reason I can see to use this is the fact the opening is slightly larger than a drinks flask. Sure you can microwave it, but the light coloured internal plastic both stains easily and holds onto food odours. Heating food inside it increases this effect.

the 0.47l capacity will only hold a very modest food portion for one person. Not great for picniccing as I thought.

This designed for microwave thermos doesn't fit in a standard size microwave, you have to heat the food in it in the microwave for it to retain any heat for more than 30 mins, will be sending it back!

I wish I had read all the reviews and not just the first 3 shown as I now see that others have had this same issue. It's too tall to fit in my microwave at home or at my husbands work. I have to heat up the food/soup in a separate container. It is also quite very large and bulky considering the amount of food it holds. The first time I used it the food wasn't kept very hot so the second time I warmed the flask with hot water first and it has kept the heat in better. I will make do with it but I would have bought a different product if I'd known the dimensions.

Well,

I had read most of the reviews before I bought it. And I was very happy having flask able to put into the microvawe especially I woke up at 4.30am so I do not have much time for preparing any sort of food. However when I tried first time and I put hot boiling soup into at 5am and later on at 12 midday I ate it, it was nearly cold.

So I gave it second chance. This time I put boiling water for couple of minutes before I pour in the soup. It was eaten at 9am and it was cold(I mean not freezing cold , but not warm, I suppose as everyone would expect). So even my friends who I share the food said it same thing.

I am not very happy. Maybe it will be different when temperature reach 20 C outside. However for this winter which we have in January it is not really good.

From my point of view, the problem is with plastic which is put instead of metal inside.

Consider twice before buy, Remeber you can still pour soup into casual flask. Which probably I am soon going to do.

Doesn't fit in my microwave. Food isn't kept warm for long enough. Probably works for those people taking cold food to work where they have a microwave they can use to warm food up in.

I bought this food flask as I have no access to a microwave at work and I'm not a fan of sandwiches. It's a great product as it allows me to take hot food to work with me and its still hot by lunch time. I fill it up with a home cooked meal, usually left overs from the night before and microwave at 6.30am. Its not too big and the capacity is just right for a lunch time portion. At 1pm I can tuck into something nice thats still hot. Its saves me money on buying food out every lunch time and I know whats been put into the food.

I can't recommend this product enough, its excellent 5*!
