5.0 out of 5 stars Top stuff, 29 Feb 2008
This review is from: Upsyde Downe (Audio CD)
For fans of world/electronic music, this is a very highly recommended purchase. Has a refreshing organic twist, with a variety of instruments, with lots of nice flute work predominating. Very nice, trippy stuff, fans of Shpongle and the like will also find this find this to their tastes. Similar to the excellent album Organika by the Peaking Goddess Collective (one of the guys in that did this album), but I feel this album actually surpasses that one.

5.0 out of 5 stars 'Ambient Trance' at its best..., 13 Aug 2011

Bought this album on the strength of the other reviews. This is a fantastic electronic-with-instruments album, sitting comfortably on the shelf with The Ozrics, Shpongle and Ott. It has deep earthy bass throughout and a proper trancey feel, trippy but subtle and a little esoteric in nature. Through my very clear but a little bass light speakers it has proper dynamism and low end grunt, with a high production value - not quite Simon Posford production, but hey how many artists have that!If you've got very good monitors and a musical subwoofer you're in for a real treat. It is reminiscent of a low key but important Glastonbury album: Anahata - Doors To Avalon, in its thoughtfulness and 'Earth vibe' quality, at the same time organic and a bit edgy. It's ambient quality makes it both a background or upfront experience, sitting or dancing a possibility. If you like the artists I've referenced, and want a unique sound within these catagories don't hesitate..

5.0 out of 5 stars Groovy flooting, man, 16 Sep 2009
This review is from: Upsyde Downe (Audio CD)
Agree with another reviewer here about the organic feel to this. It chugs along in various directions, gorgeous squelching here, thumping bass over there, but always something interesting happening over the top. Never have I listed to an album with such a range of tasty sound effects, yet they're always melded perfectly into the tunes - never just glued-on.

This album comes as a welcomed surprise to those with a hang for ethnic inspired electronica like Sphongle. This album is definitely recommended. I cant wait to hear the next Flooting Grooves - and its in print again! But who is Flooting Grooves? I cant find anything about this artist.
