5.0 out of 5 stars A cheap but excellent piece of kit!
I bought this to upgrade my old 300W PSU in my Dell(which has been modded a lot!) which was getting to its capacity and affecting the performance of my computer. So this is why i purchased this, don't let the price worry you, its not low quality at all. The PSU itself comes with 1x24 pin (20+4) Connector which is able to fit the 20 and 24 pin motherboards, 1x6 Pin...

1.0 out of 5 stars Dangerous!
IT EXPLODED ON ME!!!!!! Got this a year and a half ago so I wouldn't mind if it died on me but seriously exploding!? Fair enough a gtx260 may of overloaded it even though NVIDIA said a 380W would be fine, but the fact this just went bang and nicely layered my PC with some shattered glass from what i guess is it's fuse is a health and safety issue. I bought this to upgrade my old 300W PSU in my Dell(which has been modded a lot!) which was getting to its capacity and affecting the performance of my computer. So this is why i purchased this, don't let the price worry you, its not low quality at all. The PSU itself comes with 1x24 pin (20+4) Connector which is able to fit the 20 and 24 pin motherboards, 1x6 Pin PCI-Express, 1x4pin +12v, 1xFloppy,4x4pin molex(2 seperate cables), 2xSata(1 cable, 2 connectors).
There are plenty of molex power cables for fans but i found i needed another sata power cable. Instead i got a sata power cable and hooked it higher up on the existing sata power cable. You could also get a molex power to sata power adapter if you find you are short of a cable.

The PSU has a very good cooling fan which covers a majority of the bottom of the PSU case and airflows out the back, which i've found overall has worked well in my computers airflow set up.

When you buy this you will need to get the appropriate power cable if you don't already have one, and also PSU screws if you don't already have these. Overall this product so far has been perfect and a great buy. Cheap, works great and best of all is gold! What more do you want from a power supply?

If your using this for an internet surfing PC might be ok but if your into gaming or video editing stay the hell away.

I bought one to try.

More than anything else, it's how quiet it is that amazes me. So much so, I'm buying another for my other PC. It does the job and I hardly notice my PC is on!

The 24-Pin main ATX connector is adaptable to 20-pin for other style motherboards. The adapter simply slides off.

5.0 out of 5 stars 24 pin connector is OK!, 29 Nov 2007
This review is from: CIT 450w Gold 12CM Silent Atx Power Supply (Electronics)
To the person who thinks the PSU is no good because it only has a 24 pin connector - the extra 4 pins will slide off (making it into a standard 20 pin type!)if you look at it carefully.

I bought this after an old P4 system bit the dust.

Despite a few comments to the contrary, it has all of the required cables/connections. It is also VERY quiet. In fact it is as quiet as the £120 unit I have fitted to my main PC.

Well happy.

5.0 out of 5 stars Very quiet PSU, 1 Sep 2009

My PSU went 'pop' the other day and I bought this as a replacement, having changed many power supplies in the past this one seemed different with the fan mounted at the top. In operation it is so quiet that if it wasn't for the LEDs on the front of the PC I wouldn't know it was on.

If you want a well made quiet PSU buy this one!

Not only does the 24 pin connector become a 20 pin after sliding off the extra 4 pins, it also has a 6 pin connector for PCI Express connectivity (not mentioned in the spec).

And it is very quiet !

1.0 out of 5 stars Poisonous/Toxic odour, 28 Jan 2013
This review is from: CIT 450w Gold 12CM Silent Atx Power Supply (Electronics)
There I was sitting on my pc playing Dishonored then I noticed a poisonous smell coming from my pc case. I've got a gt630 nvidia graphics card and the recommended power needed for that card is 400, although this power supply is 450 it started burning. The screen has been flickering from day 1 and its quite bad. I dont recommend this power supply to anyone who wants to use it for gaming, DONT use it for gaming, if you dont have a power supply and want to buy this cheap on then use it only for internet browsing.

This power supply failed after 2 weeks use. 12V lines completely dead, waste of money, waste of time. I don't think cheap power supplies are worth it, going to buy a decent one now.

I bought this to replace the noisy PSU that came in my zoostorm pc. It was so easy to swap the two out. It came with all the connectors needed and when it switched on, I thought I had bought a dud as it was so silent I didn't think it had actually come on. Excellent piece of kit for such a cheap price.
